?? PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
We are looking for a high-level direct-response copywriter with proven experience writing long-form copy for supplement, health, wellness, or DTC brands.
This is not a content-writing position.
We're not looking for someone to write blog posts, generic product descriptions, or AI-generated marketing copy.
We're looking for someone who understands why people buy and can turn a product, mechanism, and customer problem into compelling long-form copy that drives sales.
If you don't have direct-response experience in the health/supplement space, please do not apply.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work directly with the founder to develop and write:
Long-form sales letters
Advertorials
VSL scripts
Meta ad copy
Landing pages
Product pages
Email
Quiz funnels
Educational/pre-sell content
New angles and mechanisms
Customer-avatar-specific campaigns
You will be expected to take a product and go beyond its ingredients.
We need someone who can understand:
Problem ? Mechanism ? Solution ? Belief ? Offer
and build an entire persuasive argument around it.
You MUST Understand
The 5 Levels of Awareness
You should be able to explain Eugene Schwartz's five awareness levels and understand how your copy changes depending on whether you're speaking to:
Unaware
Problem Aware
Solution Aware
Product Aware
Most Aware
Don't just define them.
Explain how you would actually write differently for each one.
Mechanism Development
One of the most important parts of this role is developing interesting and believable mechanisms.
You should be able to take:
"Our supplement contains ginger, fennel and peppermint."
and turn that information into a compelling reason for the customer to believe:
Why does this product work?
We want someone who understands that people don't simply buy ingredients.
They buy solutions to problems they desperately want solved.
Research
You should be extremely comfortable researching:
Customer reviews
Reddit
Amazon reviews
Competitor funnels
Scientific literature
Product studies
Forums
Customer language
Market sophistication
Existing advertising angles
You should be able to find the language customers actually use and build copy around it.
Health & Supplement Experience — REQUIRED
You must have previous experience writing for:
Supplements
Health products
Wellness
Skincare
Functional health
DTC brands
Tell us which brands you've worked with and what you personally wrote.
Direct Response Experience — REQUIRED
We're looking for experience with:
Long-form sales letters
Advertorials
VSLs
Native advertising
Meta advertising
DTC funnels
Landing pages
Email
Offer creation
A/B testing
If you've worked with $1M+ ecommerce brands, tell us.
If you've written controls or winning ads, show us.
We Care About Results
Don't just send us your portfolio.
For your best pieces, tell us:
What was the product?
Who was the avatar?
What awareness stage?
What was the angle?
What was the mechanism?
What was your role?
What was the funnel?
What were the results?
If you have CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS or revenue data, include it.
APPLICATION — YOU MUST ANSWER ALL OF THESE
1. Show us your best long-form piece.
Explain why you believe it worked.
2. Explain the 5 levels of awareness in your own words.
Then explain how your copy changes between each level.
3. What makes a good mechanism?
Give us an example from a supplement you've worked with.
4. Give us an example of an angle you developed that performed exceptionally well.
Explain the thinking behind it.
5. What supplement/health brands have you written for?
Be specific.
6. What is the best long-form sales letter you've ever written?
What happened after it went live?
7. Where do you conduct customer research?
We want to know your actual research process.
8. How do you develop a new angle when the market has already seen everything?
Walk us through your process.
9. How do you balance persuasion with compliance in the health/supplement market?
10. Give us one example of copy you wrote that failed.
Why do you think it failed, and what did you learn?
AI
We use AI.
You can use AI.
But AI is not the copywriter.
We're looking for someone who can use AI for research, ideation, organization and production efficiency while still bringing original strategic thinking, market understanding and human persuasion to the work.
Generic ChatGPT copy will be immediately obvious.
Who We're Looking For
Someone who:
Thinks like a marketer.
Writes like a salesperson.
Researches like a journalist.
Understands psychology.
Understands consumer sophistication.
Can identify a powerful angle.
Can develop a mechanism.
Can write for different awareness levels.
Understands health/supplement consumers.
Is obsessed with improving conversion.
Can defend their creative decisions.
Doesn't need to be spoon-fed.
We're looking for someone who can eventually become a core part of the creative team, not someone we hand a brief to and wait for a finished document.
We Are NOT Looking For
