We're Recruiting a SEO Specialist (Technical & On-Page SEO — Healthcare Websites)
APPLY HERE:
Allied Health Media (Allied Health Media Limited) is a UK healthcare marketing agency, headquartered in London, founded by Abhay Patel in 2022. It helps private medical consultants grow their practices through AI-driven visibility and patient acquisition — ranking them top-3 on Google Maps and AI search to drive self-pay patient calls. Its core offerings include the 12-month Practice Authority Accelerator program, a website design/build service with ongoing retainer, and the Medical Authority Media Series for video and personal branding, all delivered through an in-house team spanning growth, CS, SEO, production, design, and development.
About the Role
As our SEO Specialist, you'll own the organic search performance of a portfolio of client websites, most of them in healthcare. That means running full technical and on-page audits, catching crawling, indexing, and architecture issues before they hurt rankings, and keeping Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site health in good shape. You'll turn findings into clear, actionable tasks for developers and content teams, then verify the fixes actually landed correctly on the live site — not just take someone's word for it. You'll also track performance through GA4 and Search Console, investigate unusual traffic or ranking shifts, and report on what's working, what isn't, and what should happen next. Because our clients operate in healthcare, you'll need to apply extra care and sound judgement around medical content accuracy, not just chase quick wins.
Do Not Apply If...
You rely solely on automated tool scores instead of professional judgement
You don't follow through to confirm that requested fixes were actually implemented correctly
You're uncomfortable explaining technical SEO issues to non-technical tea
You cut corners on accuracy, especially with medical/healthcare content
You need close supervision to manage multiple client websites and priorities
You're not comfortable learning new SEO tools and platforms
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, covering crawling, indexing, rendering, and site architecture.
Review and optimise XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, redirects, and URL structures.
Monitor Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile usability.
Review and troubleshoot structured data and schema markup.
Monitor Google Search Console for indexing, crawling, and performance issues, and investigate unusual changes.
Support website migrations, redesigns, and staging-to-live launches.
Optimise on-page elements — titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, and internal linking.
Identify duplicate, thin, or competing pages and recommend consolidation or redirection.
Review and QA completed SEO and development work across desktop, tablet, and mobile before sign-off.
Retest and verify that requested fixes have been implemented correctly on the live site.
Monitor organic traffic, rankings, and conversions via GA4, and prepare clear performance reports.
Coordinate with developers, designers, and content teams — writing clear, actionable SEO tasks.
Apply extra care, accuracy, and professional judgement when working with healthcare and medical content.
Skills and Tools Required
At least two years of practical SEO experience.
Strong knowledge of technical SEO and on-page optimisation.
Experience conducting detailed website audits and prioritising fixes by impact.
Understanding of crawling, indexing, canonicalisation, redirects, and URL structures.
Experience with structured data/schema markup and Core Web Vitals.
Familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS, plus basic HTML/CSS.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with developers and verifying completed fixes.
Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical issues simply.
Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and Google Tag Manager.
Experience with SEO platforms such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or Semrush.
Familiarity with PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse, Looker Studio, and schema validation tools.
