Loan Processor Job Description
• Conduct detailed serviceability checks to confirm applicants can meet repayment obligations, using relevant calculators and tools.
• Check loan scenarios against individual lender credit policies to confirm eligibility and identify potential issues before proceeding.
• Research and compare suitable lender products, interest rates, and policies to identify the best-fit options for each client's circumstances.
• Evaluate the financial position of loan applicants to determine borrowing capacity, analysing income, expenses, and existing debt obligations.
• Collect all required documents from loan applicants, including income statements, credit reports, and identification documents, and verify their authenticity and completeness.
• Prepare loan proposals presenting suitable lender options based on the client's situation and lender policies, and ensure all proposals are reviewed with the broker.
• Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and meet lender requirements prior to lodgement.
• Input client and loan data accurately into CRM systems and submit applications to lenders via the appropriate online portals.
• Act as the central point of contact for brokers, clients, and lenders throughout the application process, providing timely progress updates and addressing queries accurately.

• Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of lender policies, products, and credit criteria through training and self-study.
• Follow up all cases from formal approval through to settlement, including checking loan documents upon issuance and following up on outstanding settlement conditions.
• Ensure the outgoing financier (OFI) is ready for settlement where applicable (refinances).
• Advise clients on funds required to complete settlement, and liaise with all relevant parties — solicitors, lenders, and agents — to ensure files are ready.
• Notify clients once settlement is booked, send settlement breakdowns, and complete the settlement checklist in the system.
• Set up post-settlement action plans and support clients with ongoing loan maintenance enquiries and requests.
• Follow up with clients every six months, handle loan change requests, and apply and confirm cash rebates.
• Conduct birthday and annual reviews, including follow-up on fixed rate expiries.
• Manage construction progress drawdowns: collect and follow up on construction document checklists, follow up on commencement letters, and track construction progress through to completion.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2–3 years of Australian mortgage broking or lending experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Australian Mortgage CRM platforms (e.g., Mercury, MyCRM, Salestrekker, Flex)
• Strong understanding of lender credit policies, serviceability requirements, and loan structures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
• High level of written and spoken English communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong numeracy skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first approach.
