We are seeking an experienced and proactive Brand Protection Specialist to oversee the Company's
intellectual property (IP) protection and enforcement activities.
This role is responsible for leading and supporting the IP team, coordinating with internal
stakeholders, external partners and ensuring the effective management of IP enforcement,
portfolio administration, and case tracking activities.
Key Responsibilities:
IP Enforcement: Directly handling the enforcement of intellectual property rights on various
e-commerce platforms, with a strong focus on Amazon, including follow-up and coordination
with external parties to secure timely enforcement of IP claims, or provision of additional
materials.
IP Team Operational Support: Provide operational, administrative, and coordination
support for the day-to-day management and workload allocation of the Intellectual Property
(IP) Team, including maintaining records and reporting, and helping to ensure that IP
projects, enforcement activities, and strategic objectives are delivered efficiently and aligned
with business priorities.
IP Data Management: Assisting with the organisation and tracking of the company’s
growing IP portfolio, including asset organisation and management, so that we have swift
access to what we need, when we need it.
IP Communication: Working with the Head of IP to ensure all IP claim inquiries are
evaluated and addressed in a timely manner. This include coordination / document provision
to external partners as necessary, and aspects of case management/tracking as, and when
specific issues escalate.
IP R&D: Working with management to research protection and enforcement strategies on
new platforms, or via third parties, as well as testing, and implementing IP/brand protection
strategies and programs across retail platforms/markets.
Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree or relevant diploma in law, or a post-secondary program with
law-related coursework
• A minimum of four years’ experience in a paralegal or similar role, including coverage
of IP/patent matters
• Proficiency in legal terminology and electronic databases, including, for example, the
USPTO's Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) and other foreign equivalents
• Exceptional ability to perform research and keep track of deadlines
• Proven ability to take initiative and work independently, demonstrating a proactive
approach to tasks and projects
• Must have excellent recordkeeping and communication skills
• Familiarity with Amazon’s Brand Registry Tool is a strong plus
• Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office Tools (Word and Excel)
• Excellent English Communication Skills
