About The Lucy Rose Clinic

The Lucy Rose Clinic is one of Australia's leading telehealth functional medicine clinics, specialising in thyroid, hormone and metabolic health.

Our website is one of our most important business assets. It generates patient enquiries, supports our practitioners, powers our online store and plays a critical role in every patient's journey.

We're bringing our web development in-house and are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack WordPress & WooCommerce Developer to take complete ownership of our websites.

This is a long-term role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building exceptional websites and continually improving performance, reliability and user experience.

About the Role

You'll become the single point of accountability for our WordPress and WooCommerce ecosystem.

Your first priority is ensuring our websites are secure, reliable, fast and always online.

Working closely with our marketing team, you'll build high-performing landing pages, improve user experience and optimise conversion rates.

This is not an agency role where you simply complete tickets. You'll own our websites, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and help ensure our digital platform continues to support our business growth.

What You'll Do
Website Ownership
Own the development, maintenance and optimisation of our WordPress and WooCommerce websites.
Manage WordPress core, themes, plugins and updates.
Ensure maximum website uptime, reliability and security.
Manage hosting, Cloudflare, backups and disaster recovery.
Monitor website health and resolve issues before they impact customers.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.

Development
Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins and WooCommerce functionality.
Build custom PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and MySQL solutions.
Manage WooCommerce subscriptions, payment plans and checkout functionality.
Develop and maintain API integrations with GoHighLevel, Typeform, ShipStation, Xero and other business systems.
Support future website migration projects into GoHighLevel where appropriate.

Performance, UX & CRO
Build responsive landing pages from Figma designs using Elementor Pro.
Work closely with our marketing team to continually improve user experience and conversion rates.
Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed and mobile performance.
Implement and maintain GA4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.
Identify opportunities to improve website performance and generate more patient enquiries.

Technical Ownership
Manage staging environments and deployment workflows.
Maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
Recommend improvements to website architecture and security.
Take ownership of technical issues from diagnosis through to resolution.

Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years' commercial WordPress and WooCommerce development experience.
Expert WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor Pro experience.
Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and MySQL.
Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
Experience managing hosting, Cloudflare, website security and backups.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, website performance optimisation and technical SEO.
Experience implementing GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
Understanding of UX principles and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
Excellent written and spoken English.
Able to work during Australian business hours.
