JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced video editor to join our team long term.

This is not for fast paced ---------- edits or basic social media editing.

We’re looking for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, sound design, color grading, and clean editing that feels premium without being over edited.

We want someone who can create edits similar to:

Golf Films

* Bryson DeChambeau
* Grant Horvat
* Adventures in Golf (Erik Anders Lang)
* Skratch
* No Laying Up
* Peter Finch

Product Reviews

* MKBHD
* Rick Shiels
* DJI

We’re not looking for flashy transitions every few seconds. We want intentional edits that elevate the footage and tell a story.

Our content includes:

* Golf course documentaries
* Golf challenges
* Product reviews
* Product comparisons
* Golf equipment reviews
* Commercial advertisements
* Brand campaigns
* Cinematic travel content
* YouTube videos
* Short form content
*Reels / Shorts / Tiktoks

Skills Required

Storytelling

You know how to keep viewers engaged through editing.

You understand:

* pacing
* tension
* emotional ---------- nts
* when to speed up
* when to slow down
* visual storytelling

Product Reviews

Must understand how to edit reviews similar to MKBHD or Rick Shiels.

Examples include:

* clean A Roll transitions
* B Roll that supports what is being discussed
* product close ups
* smooth push ins
* macro detail shots
* feature callouts
* subtle motion graphics
* premium sound design
* organized pacing

Golf Editing

Must understand golf content.

Examples include:

* golf challenges
* on course vlogs
* instructional videos
* equipment reviews
* tournament style edits

Bonus if you play golf.

Golf Tracers

Must know how to create professional:

* ball tracers
* shot tracers
* shot shape graphics
* yardage graphics
* hole flyovers
* score graphics

Please provide examples.

Color Grading

May not be necessary but a plus

* Sony S Log3 footage
* DJI footage
* drone footage

We’re looking for natural, premium color rather than heavy cinematic LUTs.

Sound Design

This is extremely important.

You should know how to build scenes using:

* whooshes
* golf impacts
* ambience
* subtle risers
* transitions
* clean dialogue
* music selection

Sound should enhance the story without becoming distracting.

Motion Graphics

Should be able to create:

* lower thirds
* product specifications
* feature callouts
* clean typography
* map animations
* simple motion graphics

Nothing cheesy or outdated.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who notices details.

Someone who watches a rough cut and thinks,

“This section needs more energy.”

or

“This product shot needs supporting B Roll.”

or

“This music doesn’t fit the emotion here.”

We’re looking for someone who thinks like an editor, not someone who simply cuts clips together.
