Hi! We are a US education brand creating printable phonics, math, and writing resources for kindergarten to 3rd grade, used in thousands of American classrooms. (We will share the brand name with shortlisted applicants.)
We are looking for a friendly, camera-confident person to record short videos featuring our printed resources. This starts as a freelance, per-video collaboration, and if you are a great fit it can grow into a full-time position with a monthly salary.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Print our resources at home (we send you the PDF files)
Film short vertical videos on your phone: flip-throughs, hands-on activity demos, and short talking-to-camera clips following our briefs
Send us the raw footage (no editing needed, our team edits everything)
Start with batches of 5 to 10 clips per month, more if things go well
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Clear, confident spoken English and a warm on-camera presence
A smartphone with a good camera, a quiet space, and good lighting
A printer at home, or very easy access to one
Reliability: you follow briefs carefully and deliver on time
You are comfortable appearing in our marketing and ads, and will sign a simple content release (covering your child too, if they appear)
BONUS POINTS (not required)
Teaching background: licensed teacher (LET passer), online ESL experience (51Talk, RareJob, Cambly, etc.), or tutoring
Experience teaching phonics or reading to young kids
Previous UGC or on-camera work
You have a child (around kindergarten to 4th grade age) who enjoys drawing and would be comfortable appearing on camera completing our worksheets. Hands-only filming is totally fine.
PAY AND SETUP
Paid per approved video via PayPal. Quote your per-clip rate in your application.
Shortlisted applicants complete a small paid test: film a short self-intro, then print one resource and film two short demo clips, paid $25 via PayPal. No unpaid work.
Flexible schedule, deliverable-based, communication on Slack and
Possible full-time role with monthly salary if the collaboration goes well
HOW TO APPLY
Start your application with the words GREEN CRAYON so we know you read the full post.
Include links to videos of you on camera (UGC work, TikTok, Instagram, teaching demos, vlogs). If you don't have any, record a quick 60-second video on your phone instead: introduce yourself, then pick any object on your desk and explain it as if you were teaching a 6-year-old. Share it as a Google Drive or unlisted YouTube link.
Answer these questions in your application:
What on-camera or UGC experience do you have?
Do you have teaching experience? (licensed teacher / LET passer, online ESL such as 51Talk or RareJob, tutoring)
What phone will you film with? (exact model)
Do you have a printer at home? Color or black and white?
What is your rate per approved 30-60 second raw clip?
How many clips per month could you deliver?
Optional: do you have a child (around kindergarten to 4th grade) who could appear in some videos? Hands-only is fine.
Applications without at least one video link or without the answers will not be considered. We are excited to meet you!
