JOB OVERVIEW

You are the engine behind our bids. You take a set of plans, drawings, and site information and turn it into a complete, accurate estimate, budget, and proposal inside JobTread — our estimating and job-management platform — so our sales reps can simply review and send it. You will work directly with the owners (Scott and John) and our sales team, and you will use AI tools (including Claude and our in-house AI takeoff tool) to do the heavy lifting on measurements and quantities.
Your goal on every bid: get it about 95% of the way done — accurate takeoff, correct system, clean budget, finished proposal — so the sales rep only has to review, approve, and hit send.

What You Will Do
• Takeoffs — Measure quantities from construction drawings, plans, specs, and site photos (floor square footage, cove base, prep areas, and more).
• Use AI — Lean on our AI takeoff tool and AI assistants (Claude) to speed up and double-check measurements and quantities.
• Build budgets — Create accurate cost estimates and budgets in JobTread using our standard coating systems and recipes.
• Pick the right system — Select the correct floor system for each job and apply the right materials, coverage rates, and labor.
• Assemble proposals — Produce clean, CC-branded proposals in JobTread, ready for the sales rep to review and send.
• Finish to ~95% — Get each bid nearly complete; the sales rep or ops reviews and approves the final 5%.
• Keep data clean — Maintain accurate JobTread job records, fields, and cost data.
• Move fast — Turn estimates around quickly so bids do not sit and the pipeline keeps flowing.
• Learn the craft — Work closely with Scott and John to master the full estimating process — from takeoff to finished proposal — across all our systems and industries.
What We Are Looking For
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy — estimating is all about getting the numbers right.
• Strong with measurements, math, and reading construction drawings / blueprints (or a strong aptitude and real desire to learn).
• Genuinely excited to use AI tools every day — especially Claude. This is central to how we work.
• Able to learn new software quickly and follow a defined process.
• Excellent written English and clear communication — you will work daily with a U.S. team.
• Reliable, organized, self-directed, and coachable.
• Dependable full-time availability, with several hours of daily overlap with U.S. Central business hours.
• A reliable computer and a stable internet connection.

Big Plus (Not Required)
• Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, construction, civil / architectural, or CAD.
• Background in flooring, coatings, or concrete.
• Experience with takeoff / estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD) or with JobTread.
• Experience working remotely with a U.S. company.
