About Us
Mirada3D is a U.S.-based (Austin, Texas) 3D engineering and visualization company. We turn complex industrial equipment into precise 3D models, detailed shop drawings, and visualizations for manufacturers across North America. Our work spans water storage tanks, conveyor and mining systems, structural steel, and mechanical assemblies. We're building a dedicated Philippines drafting team for the long haul (not one-off gigs), and we're looking for skilled people we can grow with.
The Role
We need an experienced technical drafter/detailer to produce accurate 3D models and detailed drawings for real industrial projects. You'll work from 2D drawings to build 3D models, and produce detailing and shop drawings from 3D models, the way a strong detailer does. This is production drafting for equipment that actually gets built, so precision and attention to detail matter more than anything.
You'll work primarily in AutoCAD, and you must also be comfortable in Autodesk Inventor. If you're strong in both and take pride in clean, buildable drawings, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Work On:
-Water storage tanks
-Conveyor systems
-Mining systems and equipment
-Staircases and platforms
-Structural and mechanical assemblies
Responsibilities:
-Create 3D models from existing 2D drawings
-Produce detailing and shop drawings from 3D models
-Develop accurate assembly and part drawings, including dimensions, callouts, and BOMs
-Interpret engineering drawings, specs, and markups correctly
-Keep files, layers, and naming clean and organized to our standards
-Communicate clearly on progress, questions, and revisions
-Deliver complete, buildable drawing packages on schedule
What We're Looking For:
-Proven detailing/technical drafting experience on real industrial or structural projects
-Strong AutoCAD skills (2D drafting and detailing)
-Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling, assemblies, drawing generation)
-Ability to go both directions: 2D ? 3D modeling, and 3D ? detailed drawings
-Solid understanding of dimensioning, tolerances, and how things are actually fabricated
-Sharp attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors
-Reliable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines
-Good written English for clear communication
Nice to have: experience with tanks, conveyors, mining equipment, or structural steel; familiarity with Vault or other file-management tools; experience working with U.S. or international clients.
Employment & Growth Path
This is a long-term contractor role with a clear path to grow:
-Project-based test period: we start with a paid test project (approx. $300 per detailing/drawing package) so we can both confirm it's a good fit.
-Monthly base: once you've proven your work, we move you to a base monthly salary (starting around $500/month), with steady project flow.
-Retainer growth: as we take on more projects and your track record builds, your base grows; we're targeting a $1,000/month base retainer over time.
-Performance bonuses: on top of base pay, we offer bonuses as incentives tied to quality and delivery.
We're looking for someone to grow with the company, not a short-term hire. The better your work, the more it pays.
How to Apply
Please include:
-A short intro about your drafting/detailing experience
-Your portfolio or sample drawings (AutoCAD and Inventor work), this is the most important part
-Which systems you've worked on (tanks, conveyors, mining, structural, etc.)
-Your available hours per week
Applications with sample work will be prioritized. We're excited to find the right person and build something long-term together.
