Build and execute a lead generation and appointment-setting function for a Canadian tax consulting practice. You will source your own leads, conduct outreach via phone/email/LinkedIn, qualify prospects, and book discovery calls with small business owners in Ontario.

Responsibilities
• Research and build targeted lead lists of small business owners (sole proprietors, contractors, realtors, service providers) in the Greater Toronto Area
o Primary sources: Google Maps, business directories, LinkedIn,
• Conduct high-volume phone outreach – target 60–100 dials/day, aiming for 8–15 conversations/day
• Use a permission-based calling approach – open with “Did I catch you at a bad time?” and quickly establish relevance
• Qualify prospects via phone conversation, answer initial questions, and secure commitment for discovery meetings

• Book qualified appointments using Calendly link; confirm prospects are committed to attending
• Maintain lead tracking in Google Sheets with daily activity reports (leads added, dials, conversations, replies, booked calls, show-up rate)
• Organize prospect data to support follow-up sequences and pipeline development
• Provide daily reporting (Friday end-of-week summary minimum)

Requirements
• Proven experience in B2B lead generation, cold calling, and appointment setting
• Clear, professional spoken English – neutral accent preferred (Canadian or North American); you’ll provide a 2-minute recorded call sample during interview
• Strong written English – clear, professional
• Strong lead research skills – comfortable sourcing leads from Google Maps/directories/LinkedIn/Facebook without being given a list
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage daily activity targets
• Familiarity with outreach strategies targeting small business owners and service-based professionals
• High self-motivation with results-driven mindset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing prospect data
• Comfortable with high-volume calling – this role requires consistent daily dial volume and resilience to rejection

Scope & Expectations
• Target market: Small business owners in Greater Toronto Area (Ontario, Canada) – realtors, contractors, HVAC, plumbers, electricians, cleaning services, retail, professional services
• Build from scratch: No existing database or CRM; you will create lead lists and build pipeline
• Tools: Google Sheets (lead tracking), LinkedIn, Gmail, Calendly (appointment booking), Google Maps/directories; VoIP/phone dialer (provided or you use your own)
• Work hours: 40 hours/week, flexible schedule but with overlap in Toronto business hours (9am–5pm EST preferred)
• Reporting: Daily activity log (new leads added, dials, conversations, booked calls); weekly summary every Friday
• Collaboration: Work directly with business owner (Vijay) who handles all closing conversations
• Scale target: Build toward 200+ small business accounts over time

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
Week 1 (Ramp-up):
• Lead list built (200+ qualified prospects)
• Scripts approved and practiced
• Daily tracking system live
• 40–60 dials/day, 5–10 conversations/day
Week 2+:
• 60–100 dials/day
• 8–15 conversations/day
• 1–3 qualified booked calls/week
• 75%+ show-up rate on booked calls
• Consistent daily reporting

• Call quality matters: You represent a professional tax practice. Tone, clarity, and professionalism are critical.
• Accent/clarity: Clear English is essential for trust-building in tax services. We may request a call sample before final hire.
• Daily reporting required: You’ll send a brief daily log and a weekly summary every Friday.
• Timezone: Toronto EST preferred; overlap with business hours needed for quick communication and call feedback.

Compensation & Terms
• $5–$8 USD/hour (depending on experience, call quality, and results)
• Month-to-month contract (no long-term lock-in; either party can end with 1 week notice)
• Paid weekly or bi-weekly via Wise/PayPal/bank transfer
• Bonus (after 30 days): If you consistently hit KPIs (3+ booked calls/week and 90%+ show-up rate), we can discuss a performance bonus based on closed deals (details to be agreed).
