We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional to manage our revenue cycle, insurance billing, patient administration, and clinic operations. This is a long-term remote position with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Management
* Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
* Obtain prior authorizations when required.
* Submit clean claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid (if applicable), and auto insurance.
* Monitor claim status and resolve rejections.
* Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.
* Prepare and submit appeals.
* Post insurance and patient payments.
* Reconcile accounts and manage Accounts Receivable.
* Maintain billing accuracy and compliance.
Personal Injury & Motor Vehicle A
* Manage Personal Injury (PI) and Motor Vehicle A
* Coordinate billing for:
* PIP
* MedPay
* Third-party liability claims
* Letters of Protection (LOPs)
* Communicate professionally with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
* Track settlements and outstanding balances.
* Maintain accurate documentation for legal cases.
Patient Administration
* Schedule appointments.
* Verify insurance prior to visits.
* Manage patient intake paperwork.
* Maintain accurate patient records.
* Answer patient billing questions.
* Process cancellations and rescheduling.
* Coordinate referrals when needed.
Clinic Operations
* Maintain our Electronic Health Record (SimplePractice preferred).
* Generate weekly and monthly financial reports.
* Track KPIs such as:
* Days in A/R
* Collection rate
* Denial rate
* Outstanding balances
* Recommend workflow improvements.
* Assist with administrative projects as the practice grows.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of U.S. medical billing experience.
* Strong understanding of U.S. insurance billing.
* Experience with Revenue Cycle Management.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* High attention to detail.
* Organized and dependable.
* Able to work independently.
* Strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Behavioral health or mental health billing experience.
* Personal Injury (PI) or Motor Vehicle A
* Experience with:
* SimplePractice
* Office Ally
* Availity
* Kareo/Tebra
* TherapyNotes
* Familiarity with:
* CPT coding
* ICD-10 coding
* ERA/EFT
* Insurance verification
* Prior authorizations
* Appeals
* Spanish-speaking is a plus.
Performance Expectations
Within the first 90 days you should be able to:
* Independently manage the clinic’s billing cycle.
* Keep insurance claims current and minimize aging receivables.
* Ensure patient accounts remain organized and accurate.
* Communicate professionally with patients, providers, attorneys, and insurers.
* Help improve operational efficiency as the clinic grows.
