Hi! I’m looking for a reliable, proactive, and fast-learning assistant to help me manage inbound LinkedIn conversations for my startup fundraising advisory business.
I work with pre-seed and seed-stage founders who are raising investment. We help founders become investor-ready, improve their fundraising process, and connect with relevant investors.
The main goal of this role is simple: reply to LinkedIn messages, qualify founders, send the booking link when they are a good fit, follow up when needed, and help keep the inbox clean and organized.
This is a long-term part-time role with opportunity to grow over time. The goal is to make this position full-time once everything is working properly.
In the near future, there may also be additional responsibilities such as helping manage Instagra
Main responsibilities:
LinkedIn DM replies
- Replying to inbound LinkedIn messages
- Following a simple qualification framework
- Asking the right questions before sending the booking link
- Keeping replies short, natural, and human
- Splitting longer replies into simple LinkedIn-style messages
- Cleaning the inbox and replying to older messages when needed
Lead qualification
You will help qualify founders by checking:
- What they are building
- What stage they are at
- Whether they are raising now
- How much they are raising
- What their biggest fundraising challenge is
- Whether they are open to paid 1:1 support
- Whether another decision-maker needs to join the call
The goal is not to over-qualify or give advice.
The goal is to understand if they are a good fit and move them to a call.
Booking calls
- Sending the calendar link to qualified founders
- Following up when needed
- Making sure qualified people actually book the call
- Updating trackers when links are sent or calls are booked
Inbox and tracker management
- Organizing LinkedIn conversations
- Updating simple lead trackers/spreadsheets
- Tracking who replied, who needs follow-up, who booked, and who is not a fit
- Archiving or marking people who are clearly not relevant
Admin support
Occasionally, you may also help with:
- Simple admin tasks
- Content scheduling
- Organizing information
- Other small support tasks as the role grows
What I’m looking for:
You do not need to be a fundraising expert already. Training, systems, and SOPs will be provided.
But you must be:
- Fast at execution
- Very active and responsive
- Organized
- Reliable
- Proactive
- Honest
- Trainable
- Strong in written English
- Comfortable chatting with people online
- Good at following scripts and frameworks
- Able to sound natural, not robotic
- Comfortable using Google Sheets
- Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude
- Able to send daily updates without being chased
- Able to ask questions when something is unclear
- Able to learn quickly and take feedback well
- Comfortable working with clear hourly KPIs and being measured on output, not just time spent
This role is not for someone who works slowly or waits for every small instruction.
I need someone very active, fast, and consistent. KPIs are the key in this role, so I need someone who is comfortable being measured by results every hour and every day.
If you are slow, inconsistent, or need to be chased, this role is not a fit.
I’m looking for someone who wants long-term work and is excited to grow with the business, not someone looking for a short-term task.
Weekend availability is a plus.
Startup / fundraising understanding:
You should have, or be willing to quickly learn, a basic understanding of startups and fundraising.
You do not need to be an expert, but it helps if you understand:
- What pre-seed and seed-stage startups are
- Why startups raise capital
- Basic startup terminology
- Difference between angels, VCs, accelerators, and funds
- How founder and investor conversations usually work
Experience with LinkedIn DMs, appointment setting, sales, startup founders, fundraising, investor outreach, venture capital, or startup ecosystems is a big plus.
KPIs and expectations:
Before we start working together, I will set clear KPIs and expectations for each hour of work.
The main target is usually around 40-60 quality DM replies per hour, depending on the complexity of the conversations.
You will follow a simple framework of around 5–7 message types.
The goal is to:
- Reply to active conversations
- Qualify founders
- Send the booking link to good-fit founders
- Follow up when needed
- Keep the inbox clean
- Update the tracker properly
Quality matters too. I do not want rushed, low-quality replies. But I do need someone who can work quickly and consistently.
Daily reporting:
At the end of every working day, you must fill out a simple daily report.
This is required every single day you work.
The report should include:
- How many messages you replied to
- How many active conversations you handled
- How many booking links you sent
- How many calls were booked
- Who needs follow-up
- Any difficult conversations you need help with
- Any blockers or questions
KPIs are very important in this role. I need someone who can consistently hit the agreed daily and hourly targets.
During training, I may ask for screenshots or short screen recordings of your work so I can give feedback quickly.
Working hours:
This will start part-time at around 15 hours per week.
I prefer someone who can work during UK / US-friendly hours, or at least have daily overlap for check-ins and fast replies.
Weekend availability is a plus, especially when we need to catch up on messages or follow-ups.
Please include your time zone, availability, and whether you can work some weekends when applying.
Compensation and trial:
Starting rate is $3-6 per hour.
There is also potential for bonuses and commission from clients we get through booked calls and successful performance.
We will start with a 1-week paid trial. During this trial, we will test how we work together, how fast you execute, how well you follow instructions, and whether the KPIs are realistic and manageable for you.
If the trial goes well and you are able to hit the agreed KPIs, we can continue working together long term.
The goal is to increase hours over time and potentially make this a full-time position once everything is working properly.
