# Full-Time Onboarding & Contracting Specialist
**Life Insurance Agency | Remote Position**
## About the Position
We are a growing U.S.-based life insurance agency looking for a highly organized, intelligent, and dependable **Onboarding & Contracting Specialist** to join our team full-time.
You will be responsible for helping newly recruited insurance agents complete the onboarding and carrier-contracting process. This position combines administrative work, back-end contracting, agent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and follow-up.
We are not looking for someone who simply completes basic tasks. We are looking for an **A-player** who takes ownership, thinks critically, notices small details, solves problems independently, and keeps every agent moving through the onboarding process.
You will be one of the first people our new agents interact with, so you must be professional, helpful, responsive, and able to create an excellent onboarding experience.
## Primary Responsibilities
### New Agent Onboarding
* Welcome new agents and guide them through the complete onboarding process.
* Clearly explain each onboarding step and what is required from the agent.
* Help agents complete required forms, accounts, training, and documentation.
* Track each agent’s progress from the beginning of onboarding until they are fully ready to begin selling.
* Follow up consistently with agents who have missing information or incomplete tasks.
* Make sure no agent gets forgotten or falls through the cracks.
### Insurance Carrier Contracting
* Submit and manage agent contracting applications with life insurance carriers.
* Assist agents with completing carrier applications accurately.
* Review contracting paperwork for missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information.
* Track carrier-contracting statuses and follow up on pending applications.
* Communicate with carrier contracting departments when additional information is required.
* Help resolve contracting delays, outstanding requirements, licensing issues, and application errors.
* Maintain accurate records of which carriers each agent is contracted with.
* Keep agents updated throughout the contracting process.
### Agent Communication and Customer Service
* Communicate with agents through phone calls,
* Respond to questions in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
* Explain complicated processes in a simple and understandable way.
* Help frustrated or confused agents find solutions without becoming overwhelmed.
* Provide regular updates instead of waiting for agents to ask for information.
* Create a positive and organized experience for every new agent.
### Administrative and Back-End Support
* Update onboarding trackers, spreadsheets, CRM records, and internal systems.
* Organize agent documents and maintain accurate digital records.
* Review licenses, identification documents, certifications, and contracting forms.
* Identify incomplete information before documents are submitted.
* Create and improve onboarding checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures.
* Work closely with agency leadership and other departments.
* Provide daily or weekly updates regarding onboarding progress, delays, and outstanding requirements.

* Professional when communicating with agents and business partners.
* Comfortable following up repeatedly when something needs to be completed.
* Able to manage many agents and tasks at the same time.
* Capable of recognizing problems before they become larger issues.
* Comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
* Able to ask intelligent questions when clarification is truly needed.
* Calm and resourceful when handling unexpected situations.
* Interested in building a long-term career with a growing company.
## Required Skills
