Part-Time DOT Safety & Compliance Assistant
Peak Transport runs overnight box truck freight operations. Our safety systems generate hundreds of events every week — and not all of them are real. Your job is to review every one, document what actually happened, and dispute the ones triggered in error before the challenge window closes.
Schedule: 2.5 hours daily, 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM CST, seven days a week. Consistency matters more than volume in this role — events go stale fast, so we need eyes on them every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Netradyne event review & disputes — the core of the role
Review 100% of daily DriverI events: distraction, following distance, hard braking, cornering, speeding, seatbelt, stop sign, traffic light
Watch the video clip for every event before making a determination — never triage off the alert description alone
Classify each event using our written rubric: valid coachable event, false positive, or escalate
File disputes with clear written justification and track each one through to resolution
Meet the SLA: every event triaged within 24 hours, every dispute filed inside the window, zero events expired. This is how the role is measured.
Guardian fatigue & drowsiness review
Review all fatigue events from the prior night; separate confirmed fatigue from camera and lighting false triggers
Escalate confirmed drowsiness events to Operations immediately — you document and flag, Operations d
Track fatigue patterns by driver, route, and hours into shift
Drivewyze Nightly Review Tracker audit
Audit the tracker daily against the Drivewyze portal — bypass events, weigh station interactions, inspection flags
Flag missing entries, wrong unit numbers, and contradictions, then chase corrections with dispatch until closed
Reporting — maintain all logs in Google Sheets and deliver a weekly summary: events by type, dispute filing and win rate, high-event drivers, confirmed fatigue events, tracker compliance.
WHAT WE NEED
Required
US DOT or fleet safety experience — FMCSA/CSA scoring, hours of service, roadside inspections, or DOT compliance support. This is the qualification that matters most to us.
Hands-on experience with a video telematics platform: Netradyne, Lytx, Samsara, Motive, or SmartDrive
Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to apply a written rubric the same way every time
Excellent written English — your dispute justifications are read by a third-party reviewer
Strong Google Sheets skills; reliable high-speed internet, own laptop, headset
Availability every day, 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM CST, including weekends
Willingness to sign an NDA — this role involves driver video and PII
Preferred — Drivewyze or another weigh station bypass service; experience supporting US-based trucking or last-mile operations; background in claims review or safety documentation.
WHAT WE OFFER
$400 USD per month, flat, paid bi-weekly · performance bonuses tied to dispute win rate and SLA · paid training on all systems and our rubric · fully remote, same hours every day, no rotating schedule

A dashcam flags a driver for "distracted driving." The video shows the driver glancing at the dashboard for about one second while stopped at a red light. Do you dispute it? Explain in 3–5 sentences.
We read every answer. It tells us more than the resume does.
