We are looking for a comptroller to help us establish our finance and accounting functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll oversight
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and financial analyses for leadership and Board review
Monitor cash flow, oversee banking relationships, and maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures
Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory agencies as needed
Support organizational financial planning, process improvements, and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
Support the client with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, in alignment with the role and overall business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership experience
Previous experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health environments is highly preferred
Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite experience is a strong plus
Strong understanding of financial reporting, audit preparation, cash flow management, and internal controls
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
Ability to work during U.S. business hours
Can start within 2 weeks of receiving an offer
