JOB OVERVIEW

G'day! We're Sam and Olie, two brothers running Clientyr, our Australian family business. There's some Filipino in our blood too, so hiring from the Philippines feels like a natural fit for us. We're a small family operation looking for a genuine hard worker to grow with us long term.

What Clientyr does

We help Aussie tradespeople (plumbers, heating and cooling businesses) get their time back from paperwork and admin. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we're building our brand presence from the ground up. This role keeps the content machine running so the two of us can focus on the business and the product.

What this role actually is

To be clear up front: this is a content manager role, not a videographer role. Olie films the raw clips and supplies the footage. Your job is everything around that:

Writing ad scripts and captions with Sam. The voice has to sound like a real Australian talking to tradies, so excellent natural English matters more here than fancy editing tricks. We'll teach you the Aussie phrasing, you bring the writing skill.

Cutting and finishing the ads from Olie's raw footage in CapCut, Premiere or whatever you work best in. Captions, hooks, pacing, music.

Making every ad perfect for Meta's formats. Feed 1:1, story and reel 9:16, correct lengths, correct specs, safe zones respected so nothing important gets cropped.

Publishing and scheduling across our Instagram, Facebook and ---------- , and keeping a simple content calendar.

Following our brand guide exactly. We have a full design system with set colours and fonts. Creative freedom lives inside those lines.

Understanding what converts, not just what looks good. You'll watch how each ad performs with our ads specialist, work out why one hook held people and another lost them, and bring ideas for making the next round better and more engaging. We want someone with opinions about what works, backed by what the numbers say.

You must have

Proven short-form editing skill. Show us reels or ads you personally made.

Excellent written English. You'll be writing scripts and captions, not just captioning clips.

Experience formatting content for Facebook and Instagram ads, and a real understanding of why some ads convert and others don't. Hooks, retention, calls to action.

CapCut, Premiere or similar.

Reliability. Agreed hours, agreed deadlines.

Nice to have

Experience with trades, home services or local business content. Canva or Photoshop for adapting image sets. Any experience writing for an Australian or British audience.

How we treat our people

You look after your people and they look after you. In practice that means pay on time via Wise, 13th month pay (pro-rata), and paid Philippine holidays after your trial month. Your trial month is paid at the full rate. We don't ask for free test tasks that take a week. This starts at 20 hours a week, and the plan is to grow it into a full-time role as the business grows. Sam's actual job is managing people, and he answers messages.
