WHO WE ARE
Van Horn Law Group, P.A. is a bankruptcy law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer and business cases in four federal court districts. About 100 people work here, including 15 attorneys. We have been doing this for over a decade and we file cases every single week.
THE JOB IN ONE SENTENCE
After we file a client's bankruptcy case, the trustee starts asking for documents on a deadline, and you are the person who makes sure every single one arrives on time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own a caseload of filed Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases from the filing date all the way to discharge.
Track every trustee document request and every court deadline on your cases. Nothing gets lost, nothing gets late.

Assemble and submit document packages to the trustees through their portals.
Get clients ready for their 341 meeting of creditors so they show up on time, with ID, knowing what to expect.
Confirm the required credit counseling and financial management courses are completed and the certificates are in the file.

Keep every case status current in our system so anyone can see where a file stands in ten seconds.

This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. Cases fall apart quietly when nobody is chasing, and a missed deadline can get a client's case dismissed. That is why this job matters and why we pay well for it.
You should be comfortable being the calm, organized person telling a stressed client for the fourth time that we still need their bank statement, and having them thank you for it.

You will never give clients legal advice. You collect documents, confirm dates, explain our process, and route every legal question to an attorney. We will train you on exactly where that line sits, and we take it seriously.
