ABOUT OUR AGENCY

Our agency is a performance marketing agency working across lead generation and eCommerce.

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer & Technical Manager who can confidently build, manage, troubleshoot, secure, and improve websites, online stores, landing pages, and funnels for our clients.

This person will be the primary technical owner of all website-related work at WRK Marketing.

We need someone who truly understands how websites work, not someone who only knows how to install templates or make basic visual edits.

The right person should be comfortable handling everything from WordPress development, Shopify stores, and GoHighLevel landing pages to domains, DNS records, hosting, SSL certificates, website security, migrations, integrations, tracking, and technical troubleshooting.

This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of website projects from start to finish and help establish the technical standards for our website operations.

THE ROLE

You will work closely with our internal team to build, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve client websites, Shopify stores, landing pages, and funnels.

You will be responsible for WordPress websites, Shopify stores, GoHighLevel landing pages and funnels, domain connections, DNS configuration, hosting environments, SSL certificates, website security, integrations, tracking setup, and general technical support.

You will also serve as the lead technical resource for all website-related work and help guide future developers, contractors, or tea ---------- mbers as the department grows.

You should be able to receive a website-related request, understand what needs to happen, identify potential risks, and complete the work correctly without disrupting the client’s existing website, store, email, domain, tracking, or other systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Build, edit, and maintain WordPress websites
* Build, edit, maintain, and troubleshoot Shopify stores
* Build and update landing pages, funnels, forms, and websites inside GoHighLevel
* Manage Shopify themes, apps, products, collections, navigation, pages, and store settings
* Troubleshoot Shopify theme issues, app conflicts, checkout issues, tracking problems, and mobile usability concerns
* Troubleshoot website errors, broken pages, plugin conflicts, form issues, redirects, and performance problems
* Connect domains and subdomains to websites, Shopify stores, funnels, and landing pages
* Configure and troubleshoot DNS records, including A records, CNAME records, TXT records, MX records, and nameservers
* Make DNS changes carefully without disrupting client email or other existing services
* Install, configure, renew, and troubleshoot SSL certificates
* Handle website and store migrations between hosting providers, domains, and platforms
* Coordinate website and store launches across WordPress, Shopify, and GoHighLevel
* Set up staging websites, backups, and safe deployment processes
* Maintain website and store security using proper technical best practices
* Identify and resolve malware, suspicious files, unauthorized users, outdated plugins, vulnerable apps, and other security concerns
* Manage WordPress themes, plugins, users, permissions, updates, and backups
* Manage Shopify users, permissions, themes, apps, integrations, and store settings
* Improve website and store speed, mobile responsiveness, usability, and overall performance
* Connect forms, calendars, CRMs, payment systems, email platforms, analytics platforms, and third-party tools
* Install and troubleshoot Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads tracking, and other tracking scripts
* Verify conversion tracking across websites, landing pages, forms, and Shopify stores
* Work with designers, media buyers, account managers, and other internal tea ---------- mbers
* Review completed work for functionality across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
* Perform quality assurance before website, store, or landing page launches
* Document important domain, hosting, website, Shopify, security, and technical configurations
* Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical tea ---------- mbers
* Help onboard new client websites, Shopify stores, hosting accounts, domains, and technical platforms
* Respond to website-related requests and technical issues in a timely manner
* Establish technical standards and best practices for WRK’s website operations
* Review and guide the work of future web developers, contractors, or technical support tea ---------- mbers

REQUIREMENTS

* Strong hands-on experience with WordPress
* Strong hands-on experience with Shopify
* Experience building landing pages and funnels inside GoHighLevel
* Experience with Shopify themes, apps, products, collections, navigation, and store configuration
* Experience troubleshooting Shopify themes, apps, tracking, checkout issues, and integrations
* Strong understanding of domains, subdomains, DNS records, MX records, and nameservers
* Experience working with website hosting platforms and hosting control panels
* Strong understanding of SSL certificates and HTTPS
* Knowledge of website security, backups, malware prevention, user permissions, and safe update practices
* Experience safely migrating websites and stores between domains, platforms, or hosting providers
* Ability to troubleshoot technical website and eCommerce problems independently
* Experience with WordPress themes, page builders, plugins, and custom configurations
* Familiarity with Elementor or similar WordPress page builders
* Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
* Understanding of JavaScript and PHP is a plus
* Familiarity with Shopify Liquid is a strong plus
* Familiarity with Cloudflare is preferred
* Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, and conversion tracking
* Experience connecting websites and Shopify stores to CRMs and third-party platforms
* Understanding of forms, webhooks, APIs, payment gateways, and platform integrations is preferred
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Reliable, proactive, organized, and comfortable working remotely
* Ability to manage multiple website projects and technical requests
* Ability to research unfamiliar technical issues and find reliable solutions
* Ability to take ownership of projects without constant supervision
* Agency experience is strongly preferred
* eCommerce experience is strongly preferred
* Basic website design ability and a good eye for clean layouts are preferred
* Experience leading developers, contractors, or technical projects is a plus

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is someone who understands the full technical environment surrounding a website or eCommerce store.

You should know that changing a domain or DNS record can affect more than the website. You should understand how hosting, email records, SSL certificates, redirects, integrations, plugins, Shopify apps, security, tracking, and payment systems work together.

We are looking for someone who checks existing configurations before making changes, creates backups before completing major work, tests everything after implementation, and takes responsibility for ensuring the final result works correctly.

You should understand both the development and operational sides of managing websites, stores, landing pages, and funnels.

You should be comfortable saying, “I understand the issue, I know what needs to be done, and I can handle it.”

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time
Lunch Break: One hour
Compensation: $1,000 USD per month plus performance-based bonuses
