JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced graphic designer and image editor who can create high-performing Amazon main images.

This is a long-term role for someone who understands how a main image needs to perform inside a crowded mobile search results page. We want clear, accurate and distinctive images that earn more qualified clicks and still convert once shoppers reach the listing.

What you will do

- Research the top 10 to 20 products for a target Amazon search term.
- Review how our image compares at mobile thumbnail size.
- Create three to five meaningfully different concepts for each test.
- Improve frame fill, crop, angle, silhouette, contrast, product exposure, quantity clarity and included-item arrangement.
- Retouch product photography and create realistic composites.
- Work with genuine packaging, labels and approved claims.
- Build realistic Amazon search-results mock-ups for shopper testing.
- Turn shopper feedback into the next design iteration.
- Produce a fully compliant fallback image.
- Supply organised layered working files and final exports.
- Record the design hypothesis behind every concept.

What we are looking for:

- Strong Photoshop skills.
- Excellent product retouching, masking, colour correction and compositing.
- Good understanding of lighting, shadows, materials, perspective and scale.
- Experience with Amazon main images or ecommerce product images.
- A mobile-first design eye. Your work must remain clear at roughly 150 x 150 pixels.
- Ability to make a product stand out while keeping the offer accurate.
- Good written English and reliable communication.
- Organised files and consistent attention to detail.

Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Manage Your Experiments, Search Query Performance, PickFu, ProductPinion, 3D rendering or packaging mock-ups is helpful but not essential.

How we judge the work

We compare each concept against the real competitors and measure:

- First-click preference with target shoppers
- Click-through rate
- Conversion rate
- Revenue per click
- Orders and sales per 1,000 impressions

An image that earns more clicks but attracts the wrong shoppers is not a successful result.

Evidence required with your application

Please send:

1. Five of your strongest Amazon or ecommerce main-image examples.
2. Before-and-after images where available.
3. The product category and your exact role on each project.
4. A short explanation of what you changed and why.
5. Any performance evidence you have, such as CTR, CVR, sessions, sales or shopper-test results.
6. Screenshots showing the dates and results where possible. Client and brand information can be anonymised.
7. One example of an organised layered working file.

Please be accurate about results. If a client did not share performance data, say so. Strong visual work without data is still welcome. Invented claims will disqualify the application.

Questions to answer

1. What are the first three things you check when an Amazon main image is shown at 150 x 150 pixels?
2. Choose one portfolio example and explain the design hypothesis behind it.
3. When would you reject an image that appears likely to increase clicks?
4. Which tools do you use?
5. What hours can you work, what time zone are you in, and what is your expected rate?

Shortlisted applicants will receive a paid design test using a product brief, source assets and a real competitor search-results page.

The test will ask for three concepts, mobile previews, a short explanation of each hypothesis and one compliant fallback.

We are looking for someone who wants to build an evidence-led creative system with us and support ongoing image testing.

We look forward to see your applications!
