Revit Architectural Drafter/BIM Technician

School Improvement Projects

EMC2 Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced architectural drafter or BIM technician in the Philippines to support our project managers in producing accurate, project-specific construction drawings in Revit.

EMC2 Group is a 48-year-old Arizona company with consistent experience serving Arizona schools. We are expanding into Texas schools and additional building sectors. This opportunity is intended for someone interested in developing a long-term working relationship with an established U.S. company.

The Role

You will assist a local project manager in producing plans for designated portions of school improvement projects. These will generally not be complete building plan sets. Assignments will focus on a specific area, building component, or defined scope of work and will often have short deadlines.

Typical projects may include:

Roofing and reroofing

Building-envelope improvements and weatherization

Waterproofing and flashing details

Site grading and drainage

Other school renovation and facility-improvement work

Experience in these areas is helpful but not required. We can teach the specific disciplines and project standards to a candidate who already has strong Revit drafting and construction-documentation skills.

A U.S.-licensed professional will supervise the work and perform all required reviews and stamping. This position does not independently stamp or approve drawings.

Primary Responsibilities

Produce accurate Revit models and construction drawings from project-manager instructions, sketches, photographs, field information, and Bluebeam redlines

Develop plans, details, sections, schedules, and other project-specific documentation

Revise drawings efficiently as project requirements change

Prepare and organize PDF drawing packages

Assist with specifications, reports, takeoffs, and other project deliverables when assigned

Follow EMC2 drafting standards and applicable project requirements

Recognize missing information, inconsistencies, and likely coordination issues

Ask focused questions and communicate potential problems before they affect deadlines

Complete short-duration assignments accurately and on time

Become increasingly self-sufficient after learning our standards and expectations

Required Qualifications

At least five years of professional architectural drafting or BIM experience preferred

Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Revit

Experience producing construction documents—not only renderings or conceptual models

Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office

Strong understanding of plans, elevations, sections, details, dimensions, annotations, sheet organization, and construction-document conventions

Professional English fluency, both spoken and written

Ability to understand detailed instructions and communicate clearly with a U.S.-based team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to work independently after receiving initial direction and redlines

Ability to manage short deadlines and changing priorities

Reliable high-speed internet and a dependable computer capable of handling Revit projects

No conflicting employment or other job during scheduled EMC2 working hours

Experience with U.S. construction documents, schools, roofing, weatherization, waterproofing, grading, or drainage is a significant advantage.

Schedule

This is a full-time remote position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, or 80 hours per two-week work period.

Your regular eight-hour shift must remain active through 2:00 p.m. Arizona time. Because Arizona does not observe daylight saving time, this will generally mean working until approximately 5:00 a.m. Philippine time.

Applicants must be willing and able to maintain this overnight Philippine schedule consistently. Inability to remain available and actively working through 2:00 p.m. Arizona time will disqualify an applicant.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting compensation: $8-$12 USD per hour, depending on experience, portfolio quality, English communication, and demonstrated proficiency

Candidates who can work accurately with minimal oversight may qualify for higher compensation

Paid Evaluation Period

The first two weeks will serve as a paid evaluation period. You will work on actual EMC2 project assignments and will be paid the agreed hourly rate for all approved hours worked.

During this period, we will evaluate:

Revit proficiency

Drawing accuracy

Speed and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to understand and incorporate redlines

Communication and responsiveness

Attention to detail

Ability to identify missing information or project needs

Dependability during the required working schedule

Ability to learn our standards without heavy daily management

Continued work will depend on individual performance and EMC2’s available project workload. This posting is not a guarantee of employment or work for any specific length of time. A successful candidate will learn our standards and expectations, complete assigned drafting work accurately and on time, recognize project needs, and require progressively less daily oversight.
