JOB OVERVIEW

About us

Squire Projects is an Australian client-side project management business that also offers building design services. We represent our clients' interests across their projects and provide in-house design and documentation to support them.

About the role

We're looking for a skilled Revit Architectural Technician / Drafter to join our team full-time on a contract basis. You'll support our building design service by preparing architectural documentation for Development Applications (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), and Complying Development Certificates (CDC) on real projects across Australia, working directly with our team on an ongoing pipeline of work.

This is a long-term, full-time position for someone who takes pride in accurate, well-organised drawing sets and can work independently once briefed.

What you'll be doing

Preparing architectural documentation for DA, CC, and CDC submissions in Autodesk Revit
Producing plans, sections, elevations, details, and the drawing sets required at each approval stage
Developing drawings to Australian standards and local council/certifier requirements
Setting up sheets, views, schedules, and title blocks to our templates
Detailing and annotating drawings accurately and consistently
Coordinating your model with other disciplines and resolving clashes
Making revisions and markups quickly and cleanly in response to council/certifier feedback
Keeping file naming, worksets, and project structure tidy

What we're looking for

2–5 years' hands-on experience drafting in Revit (architectural focus)
Solid working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards
Strong understanding of architectural documentation and construction detailing
Ability to produce complete, submission-ready drawing sets
Ability to work from markups, sketches, and briefs with minimal hand-holding
Good eye for accuracy, consistency, and drawing presentation
Reliable internet and a computer that runs Revit smoothly
Clear written English and responsive communication
Able to commit to full-time hours with overlap with Australian working hours
Available for long-term, ongoing work

Nice to have (not essential)

Experience preparing DA, CC, or CDC documentation for Australian projects
Understanding of the Australian planning and approval process (council and private certifiers)
AutoCAD, BIM coordination (Navisworks), or rendering skills
Experience with Revit families and template setup

How to apply

Please send:

A short note about your Revit experience and any experience with Australian documentation (DA/CC/CDC a plus)
Your portfolio or sample drawing sets (Revit work specifically)
Your availability and confirmation you can work full-time hours

To show you've read this properly, start your application with the word "BLUEPRINT". Applications without it won't be reviewed.

We review portfolios closely, so please include your best documentation examples. We look forward to seeing your work.
