JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Video Editor & QA Specialist to join our team testing and utilizing Ponder, our cutting-edge AI post-production platform.
In this role, you will play a dual role: QA Auditor & Post-Production Editor. You will benchmark raw footage workflows through Ponder, evaluating AI-generated footage organization, clip labeling, selects, stringouts, and rough cuts, and then polish and finish commercial video projects (real estate, brand ads, influencer content, and social media cuts) inside Adobe Premiere Pro.

Key Responsibilities
Benchmarking & QA Testing: Run real client footage through Ponder, auditing every stage of the pipeline: footage ingestion, scene/room labeling accuracy, A-roll/B-roll selects, and rough cut sequencing.
Precision Quality Control: Catch mislabelled footage, over-segmented clips, timecode mismatches, or missing audio/VO tracks before final timeline assembly.
Detailed Technical Reporting: Log clear, structured feedback on software performance, identifying critical bugs, workflow friction, and Premiere export errors.
Commercial Finishing & Polishing: Export rough cuts and finish them into high-converting commercial deliverables using Premiere Pro, refining pacing, clip choices, and sound design.
Workflow Optimization: Evaluate Ponder’s efficiency against traditional manual editing, contributing to the baseline standards of our editing pipeline.

Who You Are (Requirements)
2 Years Video Editing Experience: Proven track record in commercial ads, real estate videos, social media campaigns, or branded content.
Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro: Deep familiarity with timeline management, XML exports, speed ramping, audio cleanup, color correction, and After Effects integration.
Meticulous Eye for Detail (QA Mindset): You notice subtle errors, misgrouped scenes, dropped frames, orientation bugs, audio pops, or awkward cut points.
Structural Storytelling & Pacing: Strong intuition for commercial pacing, hook retention, and visual hierarchy.
Clear Technical Communication: Ability to write concise bug reports and feedback notes for engineering and post-production teams.
Tech Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet (50+ Mbps) and a workstation capable of handling 4K high-bitrate footage smoothly.
