About the Role
This role sits inside a global logistics technology company that helps e-commerce brands streamline international fulfillment. As Logistics Operations Manager, you own the daily playbooks that keep freight moving on schedule and inventory accurate, coordinating with freight brokers, reconciling inventory on receipt, ensuring timely warehouse inbounding, and applying sound judgment on the roughly 10% of daily operations that fall outside standard procedure. You are embedded directly with a growth-stage business and leadership team who need a technically strong, independent operator, with ongoing coaching, clear standards, and a dedicated Success Manager behind you so you can focus on doing excellent work.
This is a dedicated, full-time role designed for meaningful impact, stability, and professional growth in logistics and cross-border operations.
Responsibilities
• Execute daily logistics operations playbooks, applying independent judgment on the estimated 10% of cases that fall outside standard procedure
• Source and compare freight brokerage quotes, balancing delivery timelines against cost to secure the best option for each shipment
• Coordinate directly with freight brokers to confirm bookings, track shipments in transit, and resolve delays
• Reconcile inventory upon receipt, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and manifests
• Ensure timely warehouse inbounding, coordinating with warehouse teams to prevent processing bottlenecks
• Review commercial invoices for accuracy on cross-border shipments before they move forward
• Apply working knowledge of HS codes to classify shipments correctly and avoid customs delays
• Maintain accurate records in internal operations tools and calculators used for daily decision-making
• Flag discrepancies, delays, or exceptions to the appropriate internal team promptly and clearly
• Support ad hoc logistics projects and process improvements as the business scales
• Adapt quickly as priorities shift, maintaining dependable throughput across all daily operational tasks
Qualifications
• Background in logistics, freight, or e-commerce operations (must-have)
• Working understanding of HS codes and customs classification (must-have)
• Familiarity with commercial invoices and cross-border shipping documentation (must-have)
• Ability to run daily operational playbooks independently, exercising judgment where needed (must-have)
• Strong attention to detail and consistent, dependable daily throughput (must-have)
• Comfortable coordinating directly with freight brokers and vendors (must-have)
• Experience with inventory reconciliation processes preferred
• Experience with internal ops software, calculators, or WMS platforms preferred
