JOB OVERVIEW

Full-Time Short Form Video Editor

About the Role

We're looking for a full-time video editor who understands how to create content that captures attention and keeps people watching.

This isn't just about cutting clips together. We need someone who understands pacing, storytelling, viewer retention, and how to turn raw footage into content people actually finish watching.

If you're constantly studying creators, paying attention to trends, and thinking, *"I know exactly how I'd edit this to perform better,"* you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

* Edit high-performing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
* Create engaging edits that maximize audience retention.
* Add dynamic captions that are easy to read and visually appealing.
* Use quick cuts, zooms, sound effects, graphics, and motion to keep viewers engaged.
* Find and remove slow or unnecessary ---------- nts.
* Organize footage and project files efficiently.
* Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
* Accept feedback and iterate quickly.
* Stay up to date with current editing styles and social media trends.

What We're Looking For

* Strong experience editing short-form social media content.
* Excellent understanding of pacing and storytelling.
* Ability to identify boring ---------- nts and make videos more engaging.
* Experience with captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, and visual effects.
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required). After Effects is a plus.
* Ability to work independently without needing constant direction.
* Strong communication skills.
* Organized and reliable.

Bonus Skills

* Color correction and basic color grading.
* Motion graphics.
* Thumbnail design.
* Graphic design experience.
* Experience editing content for brands or personal creators.

What Success Looks Like

A successful editor doesn't just deliver edits—they consistently improve the quality of the content.

They think like a viewer:

* How do I keep someone watching?
* Where would I click away?
* What can I add to make this more engaging?

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, brings creative ideas to the table, and genuinely wants to create content that performs.

To Apply

Please include:

* Your portfolio
* 3–5 of your best short-form edits
* The software you use
* Your availability
* Your timezone
* Your expected monthly salary
* A brief introduction about yourself and why you're interested in this role

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
