Part-Time Marketing & Growth VA for NJ Events Company (Thryve) — 20–25 hrs/week

ABOUT US
Thryve (Yes We Thryve LLC) runs pickleball + bachata singles socials across New
Jersey — high-energy events where people come to have fun, play, dance, and meet
each other. We're growing fast and building the team behind the scenes so our
founder can focus on running great events.

THE ROLE
We're looking for a proactive, organized marketing VA to own growth and outreach.
You'll be the engine that keeps our events full, our socials active, and our
outreach moving. We run an AI-first operation, so you'll use tools like Claude and
ChatGPT every day to work faster — drafting content, captions, emails, and outreach.
This role is a great fit for someone who likes ownership, hitting targets, and
building relationships — not just waiting for a task list.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Sales & Outreach
- Contact and follow up with venues, vendors, and potential sponsors (email + calls)
- Track leads and sponsor conversations in a simple pipeline
- Help drive ticket sales and membership signups toward monthly targets

Social Media & Content
- Schedule and post across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook on a set calendar
- Create graphics, carousels, and event flyers in Canva (your strength!)
- Reply to comments and DMs warmly and quickly (our audience asks "is this legit,"
"can I come solo" — fast friendly answers turn them into ticket buyers)
- Basic short-video editing for Reels/TikTok (CapCut) — training/ramp-up is fine

Email Marketing
- Build and send email campaigns to our 5,000+ list before each event
- Set up follow-up sequences for signups and past attendees

Operations
- Build and maintain event pages (RunSignup, Eventbrite, Meetup)
- Keep a simple weekly tracker: signups, post performance, sponsor pipeline

HOW WE WORK (AI-first)
- We use Claude and ChatGPT daily to draft, brainstorm, and speed up the work
- You don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable using AI tools and
eager to get better — you'll write prompts, refine AI drafts, and make them sound
like us (never robotic)

WEEKLY RHYTHM (so nothing slips)
- Mon: plan the week's posts + email; confirm event-page updates
- Tue–Thu: outreach calls/emails to venues, vendors, sponsors
- Fri: schedule next week's content; send me a short progress report with numbers

YOU ARE
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Comfortable using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT in daily work
- Strong in Canva (graphic design a big plus)
- Comfortable making outreach calls and following up persistently
- Self-directed — you hit goals without being chased
- Bonus: experience with email marketing tools, RunSignup/Eventbrite, or CRMs

DETAILS
- Part-time to start, ~20–25 hrs/week, with room to grow as we scale
