About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Store Builder and E-Commerce Specialist to design, build, configure, and launch professional Shopify stores for our apparel, headwear, print-on-demand, and lifestyle brands.
The ideal candidate must be able to take a Shopify store from the initial setup stage to a fully functional, mobile-responsive, and customer-ready e-commerce website.
This is not simply a product-upload or theme-installation position. We need someone who understands Shopify structure, e-commerce design, customer experience, conversion optimization, product organization, and the technical requirements needed to launch a professional online store.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Store Setup
Set up and configure a complete Shopify e-commerce store.
Connect and configure the store’s custom domain.
Configure general store settings, business information, currency, time zone, and checkout settings.
Install and customize an approved Shopify theme.
Create a clean, modern, professional, and mobile-responsive store design.
Ensure branding is consistent throughout the website.
Upload and properly place logos, banners, graphics, product images, and other brand elements.
Configure the announcement bar, header, menus, footer, and site navigation.
Website Design and Page Development
Build, design, and customize the following pages:
Homepage
Shop or All Products page
Collection pages
Product pages
About Us page
Contact Us page
Frequently Asked Questions page
Shipping and Delivery page
Returns and Refunds page
Privacy Policy page
Terms of Service page
Size Guide page
Order Tracking page
The homepage should include appropriate sections such as:
Announcement bar
Header and navigation menu
Hero banner
Featured collections
Best-selling or featured products
Brand story
Product benefits
Customer reviews or testimonials
Email

Product and Collection Setup
Upload and organize products.
Create product titles, descriptions, prices, variants, sizes, colors, SKUs, and inventory settings.
Organize products into appropriate collections and categories.
Create product tags, filters, and sorting options.
Add size charts, care instructions, shipping details, and product specifications.
Optimize product images for consistency, quality, and website-loading speed.
Set up related products, recommended products, upsells, and cross-selling opportunities.
Ensure all product variants and options function correctly.

Print-on-Demand and App Integration
Experience with print-on-demand businesses is strongly preferred.
The selected specialist may be required to:
Connect Shopify with Printify, Printful, Gelato, or other fulfillment platforms.
Import and organize print-on-demand products.
Confirm that product variants, mockups, pricing, shipping profiles, and fulfillment settings are correct.
Install and configure approved Shopify apps.
Avoid installing unnecessary apps that could slow down the store.
Explain any recurring app costs before installation.
Test product syncing and order fulfillment connections.
Payment, Shipping, and Tax Configuration
Configure Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other approved payment methods.
Set up shipping zones, shipping rates, free-shipping thresholds, and delivery settings.
Configure shipping profiles for different product types.
Review tax settings and confirm that they are properly configured.
Test the complete checkout and payment process.
Make sure customers receive proper order, payment, and shipping notifications.
Search Engine Optimization
Create SEO-friendly page titles and meta descriptions.
Optimize product and collection URLs.
Add appropriate image alt text.
Properly structure headings throughout the website.
Submit or prepare the sitemap for search engines.
Set up URL redirects when necessary.
Optimize the store for loading speed and mobile performance.
Follow Shopify SEO best practices.
Ensure product and collection pages are structured for search visibility.
Conversion Optimization
Design the store with the customer journey and sales conversion in mind.
Create clear and effective calls to action.
Improve product-page layouts.
Add trust-building elements such as shipping information, return policies, secure-checkout messaging, and customer reviews.
Set up abandoned-cart recovery.
Create
Recommend improvements that could increase conversion rates and average order value.
Make sure the store is easy to navigate on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Reduce unnecessary steps between product discovery and checkout.
Analytics and Marketing Setup
Install and configure Google Analytics.
Set up Google Search Console.
Connect Meta Pixel when required.
Connect TikTok Pixel when required.
Set up approved Shopify sales channels.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience building complete Shopify e-commerce stores.
Strong understanding of Shopify themes, sections, navigation, collections, products, settings, and apps.
Ability to customize Shopify themes beyond installing a standard template.
Working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is preferred.
Experience creating mobile-responsive websites.
Understanding of e-commerce user experience and conversion-rate optimization.
Experience with product uploads, variants, collections, tags, filters, and inventory.
Knowledge of Shopify SEO best practices.
Experience connecting domains, payment gateways, shipping settings, analytics, and sales channels.
Experience using Canva, Photoshop, or another graphics-editing platform.
Strong written English and attention to detail.
Ability to follow brand guidelines and complete work independently.
Excellent communication and project-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and provide consistent progress updates.

Project Expectations
The selected candidate will be expected to:
Review the brand, products, target audience, and project requirements before beginning.
Create a clear project plan and estimated completion timeline.
Provide regular progress reports.
Communicate clearly when brand assets or required information are missing.
Complete each project milestone on schedule.
Keep all account information, passwords, customer data, and business information confidential.
Never purchase themes, apps, domains, or services without approval.
Never install unapproved apps.
Never copy another company’s protected content, product descriptions, photographs, or website design.
Use licensed or company-provided images, fonts, graphics, and other assets.
Provide a complete handoff after the store is finished.
Correct any errors discovered during the final review.
Maintain an organized list of all logins, integrations, apps, and store settings.
