JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
We are a growing e-commerce reselling business looking for a highly detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to manage our listing pipeline. Our inventory is highly diverse, ranging from vintage electronics and audio gear to specialized motorcycle components, physical media, and collectible trading cards.

This position will begin as a part-time role (approximately 15 to 20 hours per week) to establish our workflow and ensure a good fit. However, as our company continues to expand its physical footprint and inventory volume, this role is highly likely to grow into a permanent, full-time position for a successful and reliable hire.

Because we do not sell generic commodities, this role requires sharp research skills, critical thinking, and a strict commitment to accuracy. You will be provided with detailed photo sets via cloud storage and will be responsible for building out complete, ready-to-publish draft listings across multiple marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities:
* Multi-Platform Drafting: Create highly optimized, accurate draft listings across eBay, Mercari, and Poshmark using multi-channel software or directly within seller hubs.
* Precision Item Identification: Research exact items using UPC codes, manufacturer part numbers, and precise model numbers (e.g., locating the specific model number on media tapes or verifying a specific brand name printed on a tool).
* Accurate Market Pricing: Conduct thorough research using recent "sold" comparables—not just active listings—to determine true competitive market value and recommend accurate pricing.
* Granular Condition Reporting: Write clear, detailed descriptions that reflect the true physical condition of the item. You must carefully inspect photos to identify and explicitly note any visible flaws, such as broken electrical connectors, cosmetic grime, or missing pieces, rather than relying on generic "good condition" templates.
* Component Distinction: Accurately distinguish single components from complete assemblies (e.g., identifying a standalone intake pipe versus a complete carburetor assembly).
* Precise Shipping Calculations: Input accurate shipping weights and package dimensions. This includes understanding when to incorporate the weight of original retail packaging alongside the manufacturer's specified nominal weight.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience drafting e-commerce listings for eBay, Mercari, and Poshmark.
* Familiarity with cross-listing workflows and inventory management software.
* Strong analytical skills for evaluating pricing trends and historical sales data.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle differences in product variants, set eras, or physical conditions.
* Excellent written English skills for crafting professional, clear, and concise item descriptions.
* Reliable high-speed internet and the ability to communicate consistently during agreed-upon working hours.

Compensation & Hours:
* Starting at 15–20 hours per week, with strong potential to transition to 40 hours per week.
* Starting wage: $4.00 – $6.00 USD per hour (depending on experience).
