Viral Vault Studios is a digital content company that produces entertaining, informative, and high-retention faceless YouTube videos. Our content covers topics such as celebrity controversies, celebrity health, anime recaps, and other trending subjects.
We are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented YouTube Video Editor who can work quickly, collaborate effectively, and consistently deliver professional-quality videos.
Role Overview
The YouTube Video Editor will transform scripts and voice-overs into engaging long-form videos designed to maintain viewer attention.
This role requires more than assembling clips. You must understand storytelling, pacing, audience retention, visual sourcing, sound design, and YouTube Fair Use. You will also work collaboratively with other editors on shared projects, so communication, organization, and consistency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit long-form YouTube videos using scripts and voice-overs.
• Create strong pacing, engaging openings, and clear visual storytelling.
• Match B-roll, interviews, news clips, screenshots, photos, social media posts, and graphics to the narration (if applicable).
• Use visual changes, pattern interrupts, transitions, music, sound effects, motion graphics, and other effects where appropriate.
• Identify slow or repetitive sections and improve them through editing.
• Ensure visuals are relevant, varied, and supportive of the story.
• Properly sync and balance narration, music, sound effects, and visuals.
• Use third-party content in a transformative and copyright-conscious manner.
• Track and organize the sources used in each video.
• Follow company editing SOPs, style guidelines, deadlines, and feedback.
• Collaborate with other editors working on the same project.
• Review and quality-check all work before submission.
Qualifications
• Previous experience editing YouTube or other social media content.
• Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, and audience retention.
• Experience sourcing B-roll, stock footage, interviews, news clips, images, screenshots, and social media content.
• Working knowledge of YouTube Fair Use and copyright-conscious editing.
• Proficiency in at least one professional editing program, including: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Desktop
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt based on feedback.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and consistently meet deadlines.
