About the role

We're hiring a Content Manager for a fast-growing personal brand in the barber industry. The brand is led by Torriont King, known online as CEO Smoov, who teaches barbers how to go from booth rent to brick and mortar — the financial education, business management, and industry know-how it takes to actually own a shop — all taught through his own story. The content direction is direct, unpolished, and story-first, not a highlight reel.

We're looking for someone with strong brand instincts and a proactive approach — someone who reads the brand and runs with it, not someone who needs to be told what's on-brand every time.

You own the full content pipeline. From pulling raw footage out of Google Drive to editing, captioning, scheduling, and posting across all platforms. You are the person keeping the brand consistent, the content going out on time, and the platform growing.

What you'll do

Editing:

Edit short-form and long-form content from raw footage
Produce clean first-pass edits, apply revisions based on feedback
Maintain clean cuts, on-brand captions, and smart pacing

Content management:

Manage the Google Drive pipeline end to end — organize footage into the brand's folder system (B-Roll, Assets, Miscellaneous) and track what's in progress, ready, and posted
Write captions for every piece of content
Schedule and post across all platforms — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube
Make sure every piece going out is on brand before it ships — story leads, tactics are the byproduct, never the hook
Communicate daily on progress, blockers, and questions

Growth:

Track performance
Identify what is working and bring recommendations
Surface content references, formats, and hooks that align with the brand

What we're looking for

2+ years of paid video editing experience — short-form and long-form
Experience managing content pipelines and posting across multiple platforms
Strong caption writing in a direct, grounded, no-fluff voice — not corporate, not over-polished
Solid brand instinct — you can read a brand and know what fits without being told every time
Familiar with CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Organized, communicative, follows through without being chased
Native-or-fluent English
Reliable internet, dedicated workspace, capable machine
Available 9am–5pm EST, Monday–Friday
Coachable and asks good questions before guessing
