We're an early-stage premium consumer brand built around one very specific person: the dad who keeps the whole house running and never gets thanked for it. Our product solves a small, universal, weirdly emotional household problem — and we're building a brand around it with the kind of dry humor and craft that makes people follow the account before they ever buy the thing.
We're looking for a Brand Manager to own how this brand looks, sounds, and shows up in the world — across branding, social, and content — and to actually execute, not just strategize.
The brands we look up to
If these make sense to you on a gut level, we should talk:
Liquid Death — turned canned water into a heavy-metal identity by treating something mundane with total, deadpan seriousness and never breaking character.
Black Rifle Coffee — built fierce tribal loyalty by standing for a specific identity, so customers wear the brand like a badge.
Death Wish Coffee — one blunt personality trait (strength) carried through everything, edge without alienation.
Yeti — never talks about the product; tells stories about the people who live the life, and sells competence and a way of being.
Ridge, Duluth Trading, Dr. Squatch — proof you can be rugged, funny, and premium at the same time if the execution is immaculate.
We're not copying any of them. We're taking the mechanism behind why they work and pointing it at fatherhood.
The voice you'll be protecting
Our tone is dry, brief, unbothered, quietly confident. Deadpan, never dorky. No pun-mugs, no "World's Best Dad" corn, no bumbling-sitcom-idiot dad. The humor comes from treating small domestic things with complete seriousness and letting people find it funny.
The one rule: if a line feels like it's trying to be funny, it's wrong; if it feels like a competent, tired dad muttering the truth, it's right. If you instinctively get the difference, you're who we're looking for.
What you'll own
Brand stewardship — keep the voice, look, and feel consistent everywhere. You're the guardian of the tone.
Social media — run the channels day to day: plan, write, post, engage. Build a content calendar and a backlog, and keep the feed alive.
Content creation — write captions and scripts, brief and direct creators/editors, produce scrappy-but-sharp
Community — reply in-voice, repost audience grievances, turn comments into content, and build the tribe.
Creative direction — shape the visual identity (dark, matte, premium, restrained) alongside the founder and any designers.
Measure and iterate — watch what lands, double down on it, and report on what's actually working.
Who you are
You've run social and brand for a consumer/DTC brand people genuinely liked — ideally something with personality, humor, or a strong point of view.
You can write. Dry, confident, economical copy is your natural register.
You're a builder, not just a planner — comfortable being hands-on and scrappy in an early-stage environment where you do the thing, not just deck the thing.
You understand premium: you know the difference between "cheap and loud" and "confident and restrained."
Include Brand26 in the subject when applying so we know you read this application.
Bonus points if you're a parent, or if you just deeply understand the emotional life of the dad who quietly keeps everything running.
