Video Editor — Animated Torah Video Series (The Neshamah Institute)
About the Role
The Neshamah Institute is hiring a video editor to produce animated, voiceover-driven episodes across three ongoing Torah study series:
The Torah Boss — a 30-episode animated series for kids ages 7–12, built around machloket (sacred disagreement). Visual identity: black (primary), gold, and blue.
Parshah Scoop — a K–2 grade Torah portion series with an ice cream/sweetness theme, sign-off "Stay sweet, Scoopers." (~30 episodes)
Two Jews, Three Opinions — the adult counterpart to The Torah Boss, weekly parshah debates for thinking adults. Visual identity: Neshamah's main brand palette (dark green, gold, cranberry). (~30 episodes)
This is animated content only — voiceover narration paired with animated visuals. This is not talking-head or live-action video.
Combined scope across the three series is approximately 90 episodes.
What You'll Do
Edit fully animated video episodes from provided scripts and voiceover audio
Establish a visual template/style for each series during the pilot phase
Once a series template is approved, apply it consistently across all remaining episodes in that series
Maintain each series' distinct visual identity (colors, title cards, section markers, sign-offs) as specified
Communicate progress daily throughout the project
Turn around revisions within 48 hours or less
Compensation
$20 per episode
Payment structure: 50% at the series midpoint, 50% upon series completion
Application Requirements
To apply, please submit:
A sample of your existing work (animated video editing, voiceover-driven preferred)
A sample pilot concept for how you would approach creating the pilot episode for one of these series — showing your proposed visual style/template
One unpaid sample using the assets for one of the above series is required. Review Neshamah Institute's youtube channel for style and branding of existing series.
Expectations
Communication: Daily status updates are required throughout the project
Revisions: All revision requests must be completed within 48 hours or less
Consistency: Once a series' visual template is locked in, it must be applied uniformly across all episodes in that series
Timeline
Approximately 90 episodes total across three series (~30 episodes each), with per-series payment milestones at the midpoint and completion of each series.
Interested candidates should reply with their work portfolio. Assets for the sample video will be sent to appropriate candidates upon screening of portfolio.
