We are a US software company selling an AI platform to construction companies (general contractors and subcontractors). We need an experienced outbound cold caller to book qualified meetings for our founder.
THIS ROLE IS SETTING, NOT CLOSING. You book the meeting. Our founder runs the sales call. You are not responsible for closing deals or knowing the product deeply.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Cold call US construction companies from a lead list we provide
- Get past gatekeepers and reach owners, estimators, and operations managers
- Qualify briefly, then book the meeting
- Log call outcomes and notes accurately
- Report the objections you hear back to us so we can sharpen the script
THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: YOU BOOK ON THE CALL
You will have live access to our founder's real calendar. You book the meeting while you are still on the phone with the owner.
Never end a call with "I'll send you a link" or "watch for my
The correct close sounds like: "I'm looking at his calendar now, he has 2:15 open today. Does that work, or is 3:45 better?" Two specific times, both soon, booked before you hang up.
Prefer same-day or next-day slots. Meetings booked several days out get forgotten by people who spend their day on job sites. If the owner genuinely cannot do a near-term slot, book further out rather than losing them.
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior B2B outbound COLD CALLING experience. Not customer service, not admin, not general VA work.
- Clear, easily understood spoken English. US construction owners hang up on callers they have to strain to understand.
- Available during US business hours. This is a night shift in the Philippines, so only apply if you already work this schedule or are certain you can hold it.
- Reliable internet and a quiet place to call from.
- Thick skin. You will be hung up on constantly. That is the job.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience calling US small businesses or trades (construction, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping)
- Comfort with dialers and CRMs
PAY
- $12/hour base, 20 hours per week to start
- PLUS $100 bonus for every qualified meeting that actually takes place
- A qualified meeting means: a US construction company, the person is an owner, estimator, or operations decision maker, they showed up to the call, and they described a real problem. No-shows do not count.
- Paid biweekly.
HOW TO APPLY
Generic applications will not be read. Applications without the voice recording will not be read.
1. Record a 60 second voice clip. Read this opener out loud, then improvise your response to the prospect saying "I'm not interested, we're all set":
"Hi, this is [your name] calling from Coppice. I know I'm catching you cold so I'll be quick. We build software that helps general contractors put bids together faster. Do you have thirty seconds, or should I try you another time?"
2. In two or three sentences: what industry did you cold call before, and what was the most common objection you heard?
3. What does your typical daily schedule look like in Philippine time?
Shortlisted applicants do a short live interview where you cold call us and we play a difficult prospect. If that goes well, we start with a paid 20 hour trial.
