We are a growing USA-based Home Care Agency seeking an experienced Medical Financial Analyst to help analyze, reconcile, and improve the financial performance of our healthcare business.

Your primary responsibility will be analyzing financial information exported from our EMR system and QuickBooks to identify:
Outstanding Accounts Receivable
Payment posting discrepancies
Insurance reimbursement issues
Revenue trends
Missing or duplicate payments
Operational inefficiencies affecting collections
This is NOT a traditional Medical Billing or Payment Posting position.
We already have:
A third-party Medical Billing company that submits insurance claims.
A dedicated Payment Posting Specialist that posts payments.
Your responsibility is to analyze, reconcile, and oversee the financial health of our healthcare revenue cycle while helping management identify opportunities to improve collections, reduce outstanding Accounts Receivable, and ensure every dollar earned is properly collected.

Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reconciliation
Analyze exported financial reports from multiple systems.
Reconcile information between our EMR system and QuickBooks.
Identify payment discrepancies, duplicate payments, missing payments, and unreconciled transactions.
Investigate financial variances and determine root causes.
Maintain organized Excel workbooks used to monitor financial performance.
Revenue Cycle Financial Oversight
Review Insurance Accounts Receivable Aging reports.
Monitor outstanding insurance claims requiring follow-up.
Communicate directly with our third-party Medical Billing company regarding aging claims, reimbursement delays, denials, authorization issues, and payment discrepancies.
Identify financial trends affecting collections and proactively communicate concerns to management.
Help ensure the company receives every dollar it has earned.
Private Pay Financial Management
Review outstanding patient balances.
Assist with private-pay collections.
Document collection activity.
Escalate unusual financial situations when appropriate.
Business Intelligence & Financial Reporting
Produce weekly Accounts Receivable reports.
Analyze Insurance and Private Pay aging trends.
Monitor cash flow trends related to Accounts Receivable.
Recommend process improvements based on financial data.
Help identify revenue that could otherwise be lost if left unnoticed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following:
Healthcare Financial Analysis
Medical Bookkeeping
Revenue Cycle Management
Medical Accounts Receivable
Additional Qualifications:
Strong understanding of U.S. medical insurance reimbursement processes, authorizations, eligibility, and patient responsibility.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF formulas, filtering, sorting, and working with large datasets).
Experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data from multiple reports or systems.
Experience reconciling financial information between multiple software systems.
Experience working with EMR / EHR systems.
QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
Excellent English communication skills.
Highly organized.
Extremely detail-oriented.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
