JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing Australian technology and local-media company building a long-term remote team in the Philippines. We are seeking an experienced delivery manager to coordinate approximately 20 specialists across engineering, SEO, quality review, research, content operations and administration.

This is a long-term, remote, full-time independent-contractor role. You will create clarity, keep work moving and help specialists deliver reliably. This is a hands-on delivery role—not a meeting-only management position.

THE ROLE
You will turn company priorities into practical weekly plans, coordinate dependencies, identify blockers early and give leadership a clear view of progress, risk and capacity. You will work across Australian and Philippine time zones and support a respectful, accountable team culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Maintain the delivery plan, priorities, owners, deadlines and dependencies.
• Run concise planning, progress and blocker reviews.
• Coordinate work between engineering, SEO, QA, research and operations specialists.
• Improve task definitions, acceptance criteria, handoffs and status reporting.
• Track workload and capacity without encouraging rushed or low-quality output.
• Escalate risks early with evidence, options and a recommended next step.
• Follow up consistently, resolve ambiguity and keep decisions documented.
• Produce clear weekly summaries covering progress, risks, staffing and next priorities.
• Help onboard new tea ---------- mbers and establish repeatable operating procedures.
• Support quality, accurate time records and dependable delivery across the team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• Proven experience managing delivery for a distributed digital, technology, media or operations team.
• Strong project planning, prioritisation, dependency and risk-management skills.
• Confidence coordinating technical and non-technical specialists without pretending to be the expert in every discipline.
• Experience with tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Jira, Monday, Notion or similar systems.
• Excellent written English and concise stakeholder communication.
• Calm follow-through, sound judgement and respectful accountability.
• Reliable full-time availability with reasonable overlap with Australian business hours.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
• Managing teams of 10–25 people.
• Digital publishing, SEO, software delivery, QA or content operations.
• Process design, onboarding, workload planning and operational reporting.

ACCESS AND SECURITY
This role does not require privileged production access. Initial work will use approved planning tools and supplied documentation. Never include passwords, private customer information, confidential reports or proprietary materials in your application. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to sign confidentiality and intellectual-property terms before receiving scoped internal information.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
• Priorities, owners and deadlines are consistently clear.
• Blockers and delivery risks are identified early.
• Handoffs require less follow-up and work is completed predictably.
• Leadership receives concise, accurate reporting.
• The team remains accountable without unnecessary meetings or micromanagement.

HOW TO APPLY
Apply through this platform with a short introduction, your CV or work history, your hourly rate within the advertised range, your weekly availability, and brief answers to the three questions below. Please keep each answer to 2–4 sentences. Generic applications that do not answer the questions will not be considered.

1. Describe a distributed team of at least 10 people whose delivery you managed. What was your responsibility, and what measurable improvement did you achieve?
2. Three teams are blocked by conflicting priorities and a missed technical dependency. What would you do in the first 24 hours?
3. What information belongs in a useful weekly delivery report for a founder, and what should be left out?

PAID ASSESSMENT
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a paid, time-boxed exercise using a fictional project scenario. You will prioritise the work, identify dependencies and risks, and prepare a concise delivery update. No access to any live system is required.

We offer long-term work, competitive senior delivery-management rates, clear ownership, respectful collaboration and the opportunity to shape how a growing remote team operates.
