JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing Australian technology and local-media company building a long-term remote team in the Philippines. We are hiring four careful reviewers to inspect local-news websites as real readers would. The work covers more than spelling: you will identify inaccurate, irrelevant, incomplete, duplicated or broken content and site experiences.

This is a remote, part-time independent-contractor position starting at approximately 20 hours per week, with potential to increase. Successful candidates will begin with a two-week paid trial. No privileged system access is required; work uses public websites and issue-reporting tools.

THE ROLE
You will review one assigned city or website at a time, move through all major sections, and submit evidence-based reports that another team can reproduce and act on.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Check headlines, summaries, article structure and internal consistency.
• Flag incorrect city relevance, outdated information and unsupported claims.
• Test links, navigation, directories, forms and responsive layouts.
• Identify missing, repeated or unsuitable images.
• Provide a URL, screenshot, explanation and suggested outcome for each issue.
• Avoid duplicate reports by checking existing work.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• Excellent attention to detail and dependable timekeeping.
• Good written English and the ability to explain problems simply.
• Comfort comparing information against credible public sources.
• A reliable computer and internet connection.
• Previous QA, moderation, research or proofreading work is helpful.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
• A high percentage of valid, non-duplicate findings.
• Clear reports requiring little follow-up.
• Steady output with quality prioritised over rushed submissions.
• Accurate time records.

HOW TO APPLY
Apply through this platform with a short introduction, your CV or work history, your hourly rate within the advertised range, your weekly availability, and answers to all three screening questions below. Generic applications that do not answer the questions will not be considered. Include links or anonymised samples where relevant.

1. What makes a website issue report actionable?
2. Give three problems you would check beyond grammar and images.
3. How would you d ---------- whether an article is genuinely local to its stated city?

PAID TEST
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a short paid test: review a supplied public page for 30–45 minutes and submit up to five issues using the required evidence format.

We offer long-term work, predictable weekly hours, clear advancement opportunities, quality-focused management and respectful collaboration across time zones.

Important: Do not include passwords, production credentials, private customer data or confidential material in your application. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to sign confidentiality and intellectual-property terms before receiving scoped access.
