Construction Procurement & Tendering Assistant (Remote — Australian Hours)

Type: Full-time · Work from home · Long-term Hours: Australian business hours (approx. 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Philippine time; Monday - Friday, shifts an hour earlier during Australian daylight saving) Salary: Negotiable, based on experience

About the role

We are an Australian construction consulting business that helps building companies run their tendering and procurement. We contact subcontractors, chase quotes, and organise everything into clear comparisons so our clients can make quick, confident decisions. We also provide basic administrative tasks for the clients projects.

We are looking for a reliable, well-spoken Construction Procurement & Tendering Assistant to join us long-term. This is a phone-and-admin role: you will spend a good part of your day on the phone with Australian subcontractors, so excellent spoken English and confidence on the phone are essential.

You must already understand how construction tendering works — quotes, subcontractors, scopes of work, and basic drawings. Full training will be given on our systems and on how we prepare quote comparisons.

What you'll do
Call Australian subcontractors to invite them to quote and follow up on progress
Chase outstanding quotes by phone, email and SMS until they come in — politely and persistently
Send out RFQs (requests for quotes) and keep a live tracker of every subcontractor and trade package
Keep drawings, specifications and quotes organised in shared cloud folders
Check incoming quotes against the scope and flag anything missing
Learn and then prepare quote comparisons / tender levelling (we will teach you our method)
General procurement and tendering admin
What you need (essential)
Excellent spoken and written English — you will be on the phone with Australian tradespeople every day
A background in construction, estimating, quantity surveying or procurement — you understand tenders, quotes and subcontractors, and can read a basic construction drawing
Comfortable and confident making outbound calls — not shy on the phone
Available full-time during Australian business hours
A quiet space to make calls, reliable home internet, and a backup internet connection (e.g. mobile data)
Highly organised, strong attention to detail, and you follow through without being reminded
Nice to have
ClickUp Knowledge
Familiarity with Australian construction practices, the NCC or Australian Standards
Experience with tools such as Excel, Procore, Buildxact or similar
Previous remote / virtual assistant experience with Australian or other Western clients
