WEDDING & EVENT PHOTO EDITOR — Naples, Florida Studio (Part-Time, Long-Term)
THE SHORT VERSION
About 15 hours of work per month for $340-$460 USD. That works out to roughly $23-$31 USD per hour. Six jobs a month, steady, year-round, with a pipeline booked into 2027.
We are a small premium studio. We already run Aftershoot, Imagen AI, and Evoto, so the machine does the grunt work. We are hiring for judgment, not for slider-dragging.
THE WORK
Two weddings per month — 600 delivered images each
$120 per wedding base. $180 per wedding once you are consistently delivering within 5 days with under 2% of images kicked back. Most editors reach the higher rate by month two. It is a real path, not a carrot.
Four parties and events per month — about 50 delivered images each
$25 flat per event. 48-hour turnaround. These are social-first, so speed matters more than depth. Flat fee means a small gallery is never a bad day's pay.
Typical month: $340-$460 USD, paid weekly for your first 8 weeks, then per job via EasyPay.
ABOUT US
Premium editorial wedding photography and film studio in Naples, Florida. We shoot the Hilton Marco Island, Vineyards Country Club, and other high-end Southwest Florida venues, plus a steady stream of parties, launches, and lifestyle events. Our couples pay well and expect galleries that look like they belong in a magazine.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You are not sitting there adjusting exposure on 600 frames one at a time. The AI handles the bulk pass.
Your job is the part software cannot do: catching what the AI got wrong, holding colour consistent across an entire gallery, and making the 40-60 hero images genuinely beautiful. You are the taste and the quality control. That is why this pays well above the usual editing rate for the hours involved.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Review AI culling. Catch the keepers it missed and the blinks it kept
- Run our Imagen profile, then fix it by hand where it breaks: tungsten receptions, mixed ceremony light, flash dancefloors
- Hold skin tones accurate and consistent across the full gallery, for every skin tone in the room
- Retouch 40-60 hero images per wedding: blemishes, stray hairs, distracting background objects
- Turn party galleries around fast and clean
- Straighten, crop, spot-remove, export, deliver
- Flag problems early. If a reception set is badly underexposed, tell us before you burn three hours on it
WHAT WE NEED
Required:
- 2+ years editing WEDDINGS specifically. Not product photography, not real estate
- Lightroom Classic: catalogs, sync settings, virtual copies, smart previews, export presets
- Photoshop: spot healing, object removal, basic frequency separation
- A colour-calibrated monitor
- Internet that reliably moves 50-100GB galleries
- A plan for brownouts. Tell us what yours is
- Written English good enough to explain an editing decision clearly
Strong advantage:
- Hands-on with Aftershoot, Imagen AI, or Evoto
- Experience delivering through Pic-Time, Pixieset, or ShootProof
WHAT WE OFFER
- Steady, predictable volume with a booked pipeline
- Weekly pay for your first two months
- 13th-month bonus after one year
- Annual raise review
- Direct communication with the photographer. No account manager in between
- We pay for test work. We never ask anyone to work for free
HOW TO APPLY — READ CAREFULLY
Applications that skip any step below are deleted without review. This is deliberate. Whether you follow instructions tells us more than your portfolio does.
1. Use exactly 10 Apply Points on this application.
2. Start your subject line with this exact word: TUNGSTEN
3. Answer these three questions in your own words. Short is fine. AI-written answers are obvious and disqualifying:
- A ceremony ends outdoors at golden hour and the reception starts 40 minutes later under warm indoor lighting. How do you keep skin tones consistent between those two sets?
- Name a wedding photographer whose editing style you admire, and say in a sentence or two what specifically you like about it.
- How many weddings can you turn around in a month without your quality dropping? Be honest. We would rather know now.
4. Link a portfolio that includes at least one FULL wedding gallery, not just your best individual frames. We are judging consistency across a gallery, not your five nicest images.
NEXT STEP
Shortlisted applicants get 15 RAW files from a real wedding across three lighting conditions, plus one small party set and our style reference. We pay $25 USD for this test whether or not we hire you, and we ask for it back within 24 hours.
We are hiring one editor. Long-term.
