One Manta is an international construction materials procurement and supply company serving commercial contractors, developers, government agencies, utilities, industrial customers, and infrastructure projects.

About the Position

This is not a traditional purchasing or virtual assistant position.

As our Global Procurement & Supplier Development Manager, your mission is to help build one of our company's most valuable assets—our worldwide supplier network.

You will research manufacturers, develop supplier relationships, obtain pricing, organize procurement information, and help us continuously improve our sourcing capabilities.

Every new supplier relationship you establish makes our company stronger.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating professionally, staying organized, and following through until projects are completed.

Responsibilities

• Research manufacturers and suppliers worldwide

• Identify new sourcing opportunities

• Contact manufacturers by email and phone

• Request quotations and pricing

• Follow up with suppliers until responses are received

• Complete dealer and distributor applications

• Build and maintain supplier databases

• Organize supplier pricing, lead times, and product information

• Compare suppliers and identify the best options

• Research new product categories

• Maintain organized procurement records

• Assist with special sourcing projects

• Help improve procurement systems and workflows

Qualifications

• Comfortable communicating with manufacturers

• Strong at internet research

• Comfortable using spreadsheets

• Able to manage multiple projects at once
