We are seeking a highly organized Remote Attorney to support our Law practice with legal research, document preparation, case management, settlement support, client assessment calls, and administrative legal operations.
This is a legal support role. The successful candidate will not provide legal advice to clients, establish an attorney-client relationship, represent clients, or make court appearances. All substantive legal advice, legal strategy, and court representation will be handled by the supervising attorney(s).
You will work closely with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel to assist with law matters from initial client assessment through resolution while ensuring efficient case progression, accurate documentation, and exceptional client service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Philippine Attorney seeking a long-term remote position in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
Legal Support
* Assist attorneys with day-to-day law case management
* Conduct legal research on employment laws, labor regulations, and relevant case law
* Draft, review, revise, and organize legal correspondence, pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, demand letters, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
* Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and legal memoranda
* Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
* Track court deadlines, filing deadlines, hearings, and case milestones
* Coordinate communications with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
* Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within the case management system
* Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive legal and client information
Settlement Support
* Assist attorneys with settlement preparation and negotiations
* Draft, review, and organize settlement agreements and supporting documentation
* Coordinate settlement communications with clients and opposing counsel
* Prepare settlement documentation and closing files
* Monitor settlement timelines and ensure timely completion of required documentation
* Assist with case resolution and file closing procedures
Client Assessment & Intake
* Conduct client assessment and intake calls
* Gather relevant facts, employment history, and supporting documentation from prospective clients
* Document client interviews accurately within the case management system
* Evaluate potential employment law matters using established intake guidelines
* Schedule attorney consultations when appropriate
* Follow up with clients regarding requested documentation and case updates
* Provide professional, compassionate, and responsive client communication throughout the intake process
Administrative & Case Support
* Maintain accurate legal records and case files
* Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
* Coordinate appointments, meetings, and legal communications
* Assist with document management and administrative legal tasks
* Support attorneys with additional legal projects and case preparation as assigned
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) required
* Admission to the Philippine Bar is required
* Experience in employment law, labor law, civil litigation, or legal case management preferred
* Experience conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
* Experience supporting employment law matters, settlements, and client intake is preferred
* Strong legal writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and discretion
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and legal case management software is preferred
Schedule
* Full-Time
* 40 hours per week
* Monday–Friday
* Pacific Standard Time Business Hours (8 am to 5 pm PST)
Compensation
$5+ USD per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
