JOB OVERVIEW

ALC Technologies builds business-problem-solving systems for companies custom web platforms, internal operations tools, CRMs, and AI-powered products. We do not simply “write software”; we redesign how a client’s business actually runs, and then build the systems that make the new way work. Our clients span a wide range of industries not only real estate, but also manufacturing, construction, restaurants and food service, fashion brands, cosmetics, and many more.

We are expanding our back-end engineering capability in the Philippines and are hiring mid-level (and above) engineers on either a full-time or independent-contract basis.

Our delivery follows a structured, phase-based methodology that carries every project from problem discovery, to to-be business design, requirements, system design, UI demo, estimation, implementation, testing, go-live, adoption, and operation. We are an AI-native team: large language models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) are part of both how we build and what we build.

?What You Will Do
Understand the core business problem the system must solve.
Design relational data models and APIs that are correct, performant, and maintainable.
Build and maintain back-end services business logic, APIs, integrations, background jobs, authentication and permissions.
Integrate AI / LLM capabilities into products (chat, RAG, document and data automation) where they create real value.
Ensure quality: defensible code with proper error handling, security, and tests; keep production stable.

?Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years of professional system / software development experience.
Mid-level or above: able to take a feature or module from requirements to production with little supervision.
Proven experience building business systems for companies B2B / enterprise operational systems, CRMs, management platforms, and internal tools not only marketing sites or hobby projects.
Experience building small- to mid-sized systems entirely on your own end to end, from 1 to 10.
Solid relational database skills: schema and data-model design, SQL, and query performance (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL).
Working understanding of the server / infrastructure side: deployment, environments, Linux basics, VPS setup and configuration, and how an application actually runs in production.

You do not need every item below. You should be strong in a back-end language and relational databases, and willing to work across this stack and learn quickly.
Active, hands-on use of OpenAI / ChatGPT, Claude / Claude Code, and Gemini in daily work is expected (a must), and you are motivated to keep raising the bar with AI.
