JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview
EMPWR Electric is a fast-growing residential and commercial electrical contractor serving the Greater Austin, Texas area. We are looking for an experienced Website Design & SEO Specialist to completely optimize and elevate our existing website into a modern, high-converting platform.
This is a 30-day contract position with the potential for ongoing work if we are a good fit.
Our goal is to create a website that not only looks professional but consistently generates qualified leads through strong SEO, excellent user experience, and compelling content.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for improving every aspect of our website, including:
Complete website audit and recommendations
Modernize the design and overall user experience
Improve mobile responsiveness
Optimize loading speed and Core Web Vitals
Improve local SEO for the Austin metro area
Keyword research and on-page SEO optimization
Optimize service pages for residential and commercial electrical services
Improve calls-to-action and lead conversion throughout the website
Create or recommend new page layouts
Organize and improve navigation
Upload and optimize new photos and video content
Edit and incorporate before-and-after project photos where appropriate
Add or improve project galleries
Optimize image sizes and metadata
Improve Google indexing and search visibility
Review and improve all website copy for clarity, professionalism, and conversion
Recommend additional pages that will improve rankings and customer experience
Implement SEO best practices throughout the site
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has experience with:
Website design
UX/UI optimization
Local SEO
Google Business Profile optimization
Google Search Console
Google Analytics
Technical SEO
WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Image optimization
Basic video editing for websites
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Experience working with home service businesses (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, contractors, etc.) is a significant advantage.
