JOB OVERVIEW

We write original books and bring them to life as long-form story videos - narrated audiobooks paired with visuals generated and edited by you. AI is the main tool for this work, but it is not the only tool. If you think this job is stitching together AI images with a "butterfly" zoom effect and a voiceover on top, this is not the role for you.

We are doing AI storytelling the right way. The number one goal is that our videos never read as "AI slop" or inauthentic content. That is why real video editing skill matters as much as AI generation skill.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Generate the visuals for each book: AI images and AI video clips (expect 100+ generated assets per project, sometimes more).
- Edit them into a finished long-form video: transitions, filters, color/image treatment, pacing.
- Add sound effects, background music, and (later) dialogue to match the story.
- Focus your best AI video work on the first minute or so - the hook - to grab and hold the viewer. The rest leans more on strong images and clean editing.
- We provide the narration/voiceover (the audiobook), the script, and support files. You produce the video around it. We do not hand you a script and disappear - we support the work.

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR
- Slideshows of AI images with a single effect slapped on top.
- Someone who only knows one AI tool and one prompt style.
- Mass-production "AI content farm" output. That era is over.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE (both are critical)
- Real video editing experience - you can edit, treat footage, use transitions/filters purposefully, mix SFX and music, and make a video feel authentic and intentional.
- Strong AI image and video generation experience - you know which models are best for which job, how to write high-quality prompts, how to vary angles and composition, and how to push AI tools to their full potential. This is not beginner knowledge.
- You understand that model choice affects quality - but you also know the model is not the only thing. Skill and judgment carry the rest.

NICE TO HAVE
- Experience producing long videos (2-4 hours, sometimes longer).
- Sound design / music selection sense for storytelling.
- Familiarity with keeping content authentic and avoiding AI-detection/inauthentic-content flags.

THE WORK
- Video length: 2-4 hours, sometimes more.
- Volume: one video per month to start. We plan to increase volume over time, but this is not a mass-production role - quality comes first.
- We won't expect you to deliver the final video in one day or two. It will take time (probably around two weeks to have a completed version), perfect for someone who wants to manage the gig with other gigs.
- Long-term: we want one dependable video editor to grow with us, not a one-off freelancer.
- We will provide the AI tool for the right person.

PAY
- $35 per finished video. Payment through Wise in USD.
- Long-term, ongoing role with room to grow as our publishing volume increases.
- We have other channels, for the right person we can have other videos to edit from these channels.

HIRING PROCESS
- Apply (see below).
- Selected applicants will be asked to create a short 1-minute sample - a segment from a real story - so we can see whether your actual output matches what you describe. A portfolio alone is not enough; anyone can borrow files.
- Strong performers move on to a full paid test project.
- From there, we select our long-term video editor.

HOW TO APPLY
- Tell us your experience with video editing AND with AI image/video generation.
- List the specific AI models and tools you use, and why you choose them for different jobs.
- Share any past work you can (links). We will still verify skill through the sample.

We read every application.
