We are looking for an experienced and reliable part-time Bookkeeper to support our UK accounting practice.
This is a remote position for approximately 20–25 hours per week, with potential for a full-time job moving forward.
We are looking for someone who can work accurately, communicate well, and manage bookkeeping tasks with minimal supervision.

This role is suitable for candidates who already have experience working with UK bookkeeping.

Main Responsibilities

Bank reconciliation
Xero bookkeeping
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
Reviewing bookkeeping for missing information
Preparing VAT Returns
Liaising with clients when information is missing
Keeping bookkeeping records organised

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
Experience with UK bookkeeping
Good working knowledge of Xero
Experience preparing VAT Returns
Excellent attention to detail
Good written and spoken English
Able to work independently
Reliable internet connection

Desirable

Experience working for a UK accounting practice
Basic payroll knowledge
Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously
Understanding of UK Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
