Are you an experienced video editor who wants a stable, long-term role and the opportunity to help build a professional YouTube channel from the beginning?
I am creating a new YouTube channel focused on AI, business automation and digital enablement. The videos will demonstrate real automation projects, explain AI tools and workflows, and show businesses how technology can improve their operations.
This is not a channel built around generic stock footage and flashy transitions. The content needs to look polished, credible and professional because the channel will also represent my consulting and automation business.
1. Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for editing primarily long-form YouTube videos, with occasional short-form content.
Your work may include:
- Editing talking-head footage and screen recordings
- Creating clear motion graphics and visual explanations
- Illustrating workflows, systems, data flows and business processes
- Improving pacing and storytelling
- Cleaning and enhancing audio
- Adding appropriate music and sound design
- Creating professional YouTube thumbnails
- Repurposing selected content into Shorts when required
The videos will often be educational and technical. You should be able to make complicated topics easy to understand without making the editing feel childish or overly distracting.
2. What I’m Looking For
- Strong experience editing professional YouTube content
- Experience creating custom motion graphics for educational or business videos
- Good understanding of pacing, viewer retention and storytelling
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience editing screen recordings, software demonstrations or tutorials
- Good sound-design and audio-cleanup skills
- Experience creating thumbnails in Photoshop, Canva or similar tools
- No generic AI-generated thumbnails or low-effort AI visuals
- Reliable communication and the ability to meet agreed deadlines
- Willingness to receive feedback and improve over time
Experience with AI, automation, SaaS, technology or business content is helpful, but not required.
3. What You’ll Get
- A stable, long-term working relationship
- Consistent work
- Remote work with flexible hours
- Competitive compensation based on your skills and experience
- Clear feedback and communication
- Opportunities to take on more responsibility as the channel grows
- The chance to help shape the style of a new professional YouTube channel
The expected workload is approximately 1–2 long-form YouTube videos per week, typically between 8 and 15 minutes, depending on the complexity of the edit and motion graphics required. There may also be occasional Shorts and thumbnail creation.
The priority is quality rather than meeting a fixed video quota. Some videos will require relatively straightforward editing, while others may involve more extensive motion graphics, visual explanations and sound design.
This position is currently part-time, but with the potential to grow into a full time position quickly if both sides feel comfortable.
4. How to Apply
Please include:
- Three examples of your best relevant editing work.
- A brief explanation of what you personally worked on in each example.
- Examples of motion graphics or educational visualizations you created.
- Examples of thumbnails you designed.
- The editing software you use.
- Your current availability
- A short explanation of how you would visually explain an automation where a customer submits a form, an AI analyzes the information and the result is saved in a CRM.
- Your favorite food, so I know you read the complete job post.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a small paid test edit.
Please do not apply with generic portfolio links or a fully AI-generated application. I am looking for someone who is genuinely interested in building a high-quality channel and working together for the long term.
