Video Editor (Part-Time)
About the Role
We are looking for a talented Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling and understands how to create engaging, meaningful content. This role is ideal for someone who not only has strong technical editing skills but also has a solid understanding of Christian faith and ministry-related content.
You'll primarily be responsible for editing a recurring video podcast and creating engaging short-form content for social media. As the role grows, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of additional YouTube videos, podcast episodes, and educational content.
Responsibilities
Edit podcast episodes using established templates, ensuring a polished, professional final product.
Edit the Podcast (approximately two episodes per month), including adding intros/outros, logo animations, lower thirds, end screens, and branded graphics.
Create 3–4 engaging short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks, etc.) from each podcast episode by identifying compelling and contextually relevant
Edit talking-head YouTube videos, including pacing, text animations, graphics, and occasional B-roll integration.
Edit additional podcast episodes and educational video content as assigned.
Enhance audio and video quality to deliver a professional viewing experience.
Maintain organized project files and follow established workflows using Google Drive.
Meet internal production deadlines to allow sufficient time for review and revisions before publication.
Collaborate with the team through Slack and keep project statuses updated in ClickUp.
Receive and implement feedback efficiently while maintaining consistency across all video content.
Continuously look for opportunities to improve editing quality, workflow efficiency, and viewer engagement.
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience editing podcasts, YouTube videos, or educational content
Strong storytelling instincts and pacing
Ability to identify engaging
Excellent attention to detail
Consistently meets deadlines and communicates proactively
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Strong written English communication
Required Soft Skills
Highly organized
Reliable and accountable
Responsive in Slack
Able to receive and implement feedback quickly
Takes ownership of projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience creating motion graphics and text animations
Experience with Adobe Audition
Experience editing content for YouTube and social media creators
Faith Requirement
This role prefers someone who actively practices the Christian faith.
