JOB OVERVIEW

Aspire Lawyers is a fixed-price Australian law firm. We're looking for a detail-oriented legal assistant to support our Business & Commercial Law team remotely.

You'll work directly with our commercial lawyers on contract drafting, review, and legal research, helping our Australian solicitors move matters forward faster — we're looking for strong legal training/experience and excellent written English,

Draft and review commercial contracts, including terms of service, leases, NDAs, and supplier/service agreements, from templates and lawyer instructions

Conduct legal research on commercial law topics and prepare clear, well-organised research memos

Prepare first drafts of correspondence, advice, and precedent documents for lawyer review
- Manage document version control and track matter deadlines

Requirements

Prior experience in commercial contract drafting/review, ideally supporting an Australian, UK, or US law firm

Excellent written English and strong attention to detail

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Reliable internet connection and a quiet home work setup

Experience with Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, and practice management software (e.g.LEAP) is a plus
