JOB OVERVIEW

I have a 15-minute comedy short film, and I'm looking for ONE talented editor to turn it into viral short-form clips and post them consistently to Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

THE GOAL OF EVERY CLIP: make people want to watch the FULL film on YouTube. Each clip should be funny on its own, but leave viewers curious - with a caption and call-to-action pointing them to the full video.

WHAT MAKES THIS JOB DIFFERENT: I'm not looking for a "clean" corporate editor. I'm looking for someone who understands COMEDY - someone who knows where the laugh is, cuts to the punchline fast, and makes clips that feel native to TikTok, not like ads.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Watch my short film and identify the funniest, most clippable moments
- Edit 4-6 vertical (9:16) clips per week using CapCut or Premiere
- Add captions/subtitles, sound design, and meme-style text where it fits
- Post clips to Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts on a consistent schedule (you'll help set up a new TikTok account; Instagram and YouTube access provided through business/scheduling tools)
- Potentially set up and run 1-2 additional "clip page" style accounts posting clips of the film, so discovery feels organic
- Write short, punchy captions with a consistent call-to-action driving viewers to the full film on YouTube
- Send me a simple weekly recap: what was posted, views, what's working

DELIVERABLES (PER CLIP):
- Vertical 9:16 format, optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- All content sourced from existing footage I provide (no need to shoot anything)
- Each clip should feel editor-led and organic - like a fan or meme page clipped it, NOT like a movie trailer or an ad
- Never spoil the ending or the biggest laugh of the film - clips should make people want to see the full thing
- End each clip on a moment that drives rewatch or curiosity
- Clips should be meme-able: relatable moments, quotable lines, reaction-worthy beats

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience editing FUNNY short-form content (comedy skits, meme pages, streamer clips, etc.)
- Portfolio links to actual TikToks/Reels/Shorts you edited, with view counts. This is required. Applications without links will be ignored.
- Strong CapCut skills (Premiere also fine)
- Good English for captions
- Reliable internet and ability to post on a consistent schedule
- Big bonus: you have a successful clipping/meme page of your own - include the link

PAY (BASE + PERFORMANCE):
- $50/month base for consistent posting (4-6 clips per week)
- PLUS $0.50 per 1,000 views on clips once they pass 10,000 views
- Total monthly cap: $150
- Organic views only. No bots, view-buying, engagement pods, or paid promotion. You'll provide analytics access (view-only) so views and traffic sources can be verified. Clips with fake/botted views are voided and it ends the working relationship.
- Views tracked across all platforms and pages, paid monthly
- Trial month first, then long-term if we're both happy

This means: you're guaranteed the base for doing the work, and if your clips perform, you earn up to 3x that. If you're confident in your ability to make things go viral.
