About the Role
We are looking for an experienced E-commerce Dispute Manager to manage chargebacks and payment disputes for several of our online stores.
Our current dispute rate is higher than desired. We need someone who can investigate cases, collect the correct evidence, submit strong dispute responses and help identify the causes behind recurring disputes.
This is a long-term, part-time position for someone who can work independently and take full responsibility for all dispute deadlines.
Working Hours and Salary
-Approximately 5 hours per week
-Salary: $4 per hour
-Flexible working hours
-All disputes must be handled before their deadlines
-Possibility of more hours in the future based on performance
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor new payment disputes and chargebacks
-Respond to all disputes before the deadline
-Investigate orders, tracking information and customer communication
-Collect and organise supporting evidence
-Write clear and convincing dispute responses
-Upload evidence to payment provider portals
-Maintain an accurate dispute tracker
-Follow up on pending and resolved disputes
-Analyse the main reasons customers create disputes
-Recommend improvements to reduce future dispute rates
-Provide a short weekly performance report
Requirements
-Demonstrable experience managing e-commerce disputes and chargebacks
-You must be able to provide examples or explain previous dispute cases you handled
-Experience with platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, Klarna or similar providers
-Strong written English
-Excellent attention to detail
-Able to meet strict deadlines
-Strong investigation and problem-solving skills
-Comfortable working with spreadsheets and online dashboards
-Able to work independently without constant supervision
-Reliable computer and stable internet connection

-Create a case-specific response for every dispute
-Determine which evidence is strong and relevant
-Recognise recurring problems and patterns
-Proactively request missing information
-Keep accurate records
-Take responsibility for deadlines and results
Performance Indicators
Your performance will be evaluated based on:
-Percentage of disputes answered before the deadline
-Quality of submitted evidence
-Dispute win rate
-Accuracy of the dispute tracker
-Ability to identify preventable disputes
-Quality of weekly reporting
