Hey!
I run Her Pickleball Pathway — an online pickleball coaching community (Skool) with a YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
This is a long-term part-time role, not a one-off gig. If it's a good fit on both sides, there's room to grow into more hours as the channel grows.
BENEFITS INCLUDE
- 100% remote, work on your own schedule (async — no fixed daily hours required)
- Ongoing, ~20–30 hours/month to start, with room to grow as the channel grows
- Clear brand kit and reference examples provided before you start — no guessing what I want
- Straightforward monthly workload, not unpredictable one-off requests
- Direct communication with the owner (me) — no layers of management
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Long-form (4/month):
- Edit 4 educational YouTube videos per month (3–5 min each) — clean cuts, captions, brand intro/outro, light graphics/lower-thirds per my brand kit.
Teasers (4/month):
- Cut down each of those same 4 videos into a shorter teaser — hook + partial lesson, ending on a clear CTA to join Her Pickleball Pathway on Skool for the rest.
Short-form (16/month, 4 per week):
- Edit original short-form clips (<30 sec) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — hook-driven, fast-paced, captioned, vertical (9:16).
Thumbnails (4/month):
- Design 1 custom YouTube thumbnail per long-form video in Canva, matching my brand kit — clear, high-contrast, click-worthy.
EXPECTED VOLUME (part-time, ~20–30 hours/month)
- 4 long-form YouTube videos/month
- 4 teaser cutdowns/month
- 16 short-form clips/month (4/week)
- 4 YouTube thumbnails/month
- Total: ~24 finished deliverables/month
PAID TRIAL FIRST
Before the ongoing role starts, I'll run a small paid trial with 2–3 shortlisted candidates: 1 long-form video + its teaser, 2 shorts, and 1 thumbnail, paid at a pro-rated rate. Whoever's trial work is the best fit gets the ongoing role.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
Experience & portfolio:
- Proven short-form editing experience — you know how to hook a viewer in the first 1–2 seconds, not just make clean cuts
- Portfolio links showing: short-form social edits, a long-form YouTube edit, and (ideally) a YouTube thumbnail you've designed
- Bonus: experience editing sports, fitness, or coaching content
Tool competence:
- Strong in at least one of: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Comfortable designing in Canva for thumbnails
- Can follow a brand kit consistently — fonts, colors, intro/outro, caption style — across every edit
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken) — you'll be reading my raw footage notes and writing on-screen text/captions
- Reliable, responsive communicator who hits deadlines without heavy hand-holding
- Quiet workspace and stable high-speed internet for uploading/downloading large video files
TECH REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)
- Computer capable of running your editing software smoothly (Premiere/DaVinci/CapCut) alongside cloud drive syncing
- At least 8–16 GB RAM and enough free storage to handle monthly video batches
- Stable internet for large file uploads/downloads
SCHEDULE & COMMUNICATION
This is async, deadline-based work — no fixed daily hours. You'll get raw footage on a monthly batch (long-form) and weekly batch (shorts), and deliver on the turnaround windows below. I'm based in Phoenix, Arizona (Pacific/Mountain time), so real-time overlap with Philippines hours is limited — we'll keep a shared Google Drive and async messaging as the primary workflow, with an occasional async check-in.
- Long-form videos + teasers + thumbnails: delivered within 1 week of the monthly raw footage batch
- Weekly shorts (4/week): delivered within 2–3 business days of each week's footage
- Revisions included until you're happy with the edit — please send all notes for a video in one batch
HOW TO APPLY
To confirm you've read this whole post, start your application with the word “DINK.” Applications without it won't be considered.
- A short intro — who you are and what kind of editing you focus on
- 2–3 portfolio links (short-form edits, a long-form YouTube edit, and a thumbnail if you have one)
- Your availability (hours/week) and whether $600–$800/month works for the ~24 deliverables/month described above
- Confirmation you're open to the small paid trial before the ongoing role starts
A full brand kit (colors, fonts, caption style, tone, reference videos, and CTA requirements) will be provided to the selected editor before the first batch of footage.
