JOB OVERVIEW

Overview
We're a US marketing agency that runs paid acquisition for service businesses. We're looking for a Google Ads media buyer who can OWN accounts — not just launch campaigns, but diagnose what's working, cut what's not, and drive down cost-per-lead month over month.

This is NOT a "set up the campaign and walk away" role. You will be responsible for the results our clients see. If you like being measured on CPL and lead quality, you'll like it here.

What You'll Do
Build, launch, and manage Google Ads campaigns (Search, Performance Max, and where relevant, Demand Gen)
Own daily optimization: search terms, negatives, bids, budgets, ad copy testing
Set up and maintain conversion tracking (GA4, Google Tag Manager, offline conversion imports)
Build and read reports that tie spend to actual leads and revenue — not just clicks
Diagnose underperforming accounts and propose a real turnaround plan
Write clear weekly updates a non-technical client can understand

You Must Have
2+ years running Google Ads with real budget (not personal projects)
A portfolio or case list with actual numbers: monthly spend managed, CPL before/after, conversion volume. "I managed campaigns" without numbers = auto-reject.
Hands-on experience with conversion tracking setup (GTM, GA4, offline conversions)
Strong written English — you'll be writing client-facing updates
Reliable computer + internet, able to overlap US business hours (at least a few hours)

Nice to Have
Experience with local service / lead-gen businesses (home services, med, legal, etc.)
CallRail or other call-tracking experience
Google Ads certification

How to Apply — READ CAREFULLY (applications that skip these are deleted)
Start your reply with the word "CONVERSION" so I know you read this.
Send 1–2 sentences on the single best account result you've ever driven — with the numbers.
Tell me the monthly ad spend you're most comfortable managing.
Answer this: "A Search campaign's cost-per-lead doubled overnight with no budget change. Walk me through the first 4 things you check."

Hiring Process
Shortlist ? short screen-share call where you audit a real account live
Finalists complete a paid test task on one of our accounts (we pay for your time)
